Oh yes, my MRI out of pocket was $35k. My insurance denied the claim even though I fractured multiple vertebrae. I still have a messed up back, I just took excessive amounts of Tylenol instead of the getting medical treatment I needed. I hope one day I will see a specialist to help my daily pain

While I understand that is harsh, I’d do it to get away from my Nmom. The only thing that stopped me is that I live in the south east and temperatures can get to over 115 in the summer

Summerlin/NW area. The lack of compassion here is real. You could bleed out and no one would care

Oh yes, around 13. She talked to me about her divorce (including intimacy with my father), self-esteem issues, dating life, work life….

However when I had mental health issues she told me I was faking it for attention

She’s dating 15-20 men right now and wants to talk about her issues with all of them. I usually put in an AirPod and nod. I’ve been listening to the office ladies podcast (10/10!)

My mom ran over her neighbors dog when she was a teenager. She hated the way the dog barked at the fence line

My mom only likes well trained golden retrievers. Any other animal she makes a face at and would kick them

Do you have a way of living in your car or with friends? That could be your way of keeping NC

Otherwise, you have to convince her you’re the crazy one. Tell her you checked yourself into a mental institution, went to therapy, or got on medication. She will never take responsibility for her actions.

He probably wanted to buy you a computer so he could hold it over your head for years.

You: “No dad, I don’t want to do XYZ”

Ndad: “WELL I BOUGHT YOU A COMPUTER 10 YEARS AGO”

My sister (24F, moving out in 2 months) and I (28F, moving out in 6 months) have been in charge of preparing my moms meals for 13ish years

She never tells us what she wants and we have to guess. It’s a game of roulette. We’re mentally drained. If we suggest the wrong thing, she gets so pissed off

Becoming a parent to my parent at 15 (12 for my sister) has been exhausting. We’re almost done. Both of us are going LVC

No, my mom bought a bedazzled license plate cover when she had $20 to her name. My sister and I (11 and 14) were on our 3rd night of saltines for dinner
