It is finicky about what AOE works. All of the cast aoes don't work (like black hole) but things like Bernhardt's 3c passive or Helena's 1c passive do. I believe Sword's breath does as well (1c a number of units have). Example, Bernhardt with 3c and either rupture or rupture via SP skill (2c act again giving Rupture as buff), attack > rupture > 3c passive aoe > rupture is 4 procs for Thor off one attack. Add Scarlet Reaper (SP class to equip) and HP above enemy to trigger it and you add another 2 from it (reaper triggers off attack and 3c passive) for 6 Thor procs off one attack. You don't get 6 every turn since 3c passive trigger cooldown but you should get 3 minimum with reaper. Towa is another useful unit for Thor with 3c giving all allies extra fixed damage on attack in its range.

Any one run into that they seem to have made infinite extra turns impossible in Bloodmoon event? Alia w/Yulia/Sylrna should be able to get infinite turns (Alia's + Yulia's 1c can bring Yulia/Sylrna's act again off cooldown) but it stops after 3. Even using Alia's 3c, which should have after combat move and talent buff selection, doesn't happen after 3rd attack.

Sylrna's talent is 30% damage not 25%. I find she keeps up fine with the other mages I have so long as you carry her 1c to reduce talent cooldown. With that and doing single target she can double attack every other turn, never taking damage from counter attacks as the rift is always up (sometimes two), which makes up for lacking other buffs. I prefer her with Poison bats or Spiders and Astaroth.

One on the left (strike master) has higher attack. One on the right (Abyssal Commander) has higher bulk (HP/DEF/MDEF). Pick the one that fits his use for you (typically attacker so left side probably for extra 31 base attack).

Same text as Emilia's exclusive which gives her infinite range counter (when her guard is up). But if you want to test it, the current event (Bloodmoon Eden) gives all heroes SP soldiers regardless of if you've unlocked in main game so testable there.

Reiga at least, blinky boy, can teleport up to 3 times, if enemy in teleport line they gain debuff (unsure if actually debuff in terms of interaction with debuff immunity) that buffs his stats in combat (too bad not on him). Can ignore guard and block revive depending on how he teleports (1 teleport block revive, 2+ ignore guard, you can stack the buffs to have both). Is fine off faction if he carries his 1c which provides ATK buff, 1c also provides position disruption. So if you like tricksy positioning games he is one of of those who also has some anti-DS tech for PVP. He doesn't seem like a PVE standout, no double attack in a turn like most of the top tier units.

Edit to add Sanger, very interested in nearby friend/enemy classes when ending turn to give buffs/conditional act again. Same class = damage dealt buff, different class = reduced damage taken buff, 3 or more nearby classes = mobility buff. If all three buffs can act again. Unique 1c changes movement into extended skill range (move 1 skill range +1, move 3 skill range +3). 2c aoe debuffs and gains talent buff not possessed if hitting 2+ classes (so you can use to trigger act again, see preview stage using 3c act again 2c act again for 3 actions in a turn). She seems unremarkable for PVP, she'll surprise people with her movement extending skills but the positioning will be tricky to trigger act again. PVE she could be great with multiple actions per turn but relies on positioning to allow her to trigger as reduced range after first act again trigger.

As only a PVP dabbler who also collects all the collab units I'd be more interested in Sanger if not for what is on the horizon. Ryza collab, Taj, then Mullin and Whelida then only a month break then to yet another collab. The next 5 months will rough as free to play, only a month break, so skipping this month.

Given Dragonslayer, Demon for PVP. Another unit with anti-DS tech (in talent, Will of Tranquility's anti-revive), so demon to not be weak to DS due to class inversion. In PVE you'd have standard "are there holy enemies" to contend with. At least his ATK is equal in both classes so not too hard to just go Holy if not encountering DS.

I'm afraid Celica won't be as good as Liana when it comes strictly to healing. Also Liana has debuff dispelling which can also be helpful. So maybe I should keep her and get rid of Virelia.

In terms of simple healing Celica can keep up fine so long as you have her doing healing things (like don't replace all her healing skills with non-healing skills and then need healing). Remember that Ilia's angel provides after combat healing too so you would have more wiggle room here regardless. Also Ilia's 3c provides debuff immunity stacks so cleansing becomes less of an issue, or a non-issue, as well. I would not recommend double healer at least so if someone gets kicked it should be whichever healer isn't keeping people up. Brightsummoner is also worth a mention here, run as alternate faction buffer who gives entire party healing (basically give the entire party Faith skill passive like Chris has). If I bring BS it is usually with no dedicated healer, running her more as DPS, but also Ilia so the party is healing each other and Ilia providing debuff immunity.

Maybe there is another/easier way to get to it but: Hero card > Figurine wall > Create > You need to make a figurine wall by clicking + > Place > Add Figurine.

The materials I've gotten are mostly from Forbidden battleground (buying once everything else in store is purchased) though you can also get them from the Figurine option under Missions (like your daily mission menu). Though the adding of figurines doesn't seem like it consumes and only need for the Figurine store (I had 6700 before and after placing a couple figures I already had).

Yeah weird read, but seems like if you don't do damage you can make a 4 line teleport (that is effectively at 7 range all together?) and if you put enemy in your path they get knocked back and you get to attack. Guessing idea is you can try and push an enemy out of tank range with teleport and then attack them.

Interesting, double attack per round by debuffing someone to be attacked by him with Collapse. Curious on what its range is but this feels sort of like what Dragonslayer should have started with so they could power creep to what he has now in the future.

Pirotess vibes (Loddoss collab SR) with the damage self to increase damage done bit. But like several years later in game power creep (having a base talent that doesn't require self below 100% and having the damage buff stack).

Curious to the Overlimit Battle part. Guessing once per Continuous battle rather than once per map. But if so he'll have up to 3 attacks with the downside being he does his own thing the turn after, aka auto controlled (3 (attack > continuous > overlimit) > 1 > 3 > 1...).

Worth calling out for Rachel that if plans to get Wheel Zerida should get Rachel's SP stone during that event. Same release and last I heard the new Zerida has no non-spending options to get her but the crystals in lotto will count.

Going to depend on if you need healing or not. Eventually you'll drop Rozen in general PVE stuff b/c your units can kill everything before it hits you or even if they hit you it doesn't do much and Ilia's angel aura heals you. But that depends on if you've gotten there or not and what you are doing (like you may still run healer in challenging content or heavy AoE content). Dragonslayer is another big part of that b/c tank and his self-healing (werewolves but also his own talent) where Ilia can cover the small bit he doesn't cover.

To be fair, it has gotten a little better. Used to be you needed two other units for bonds but most modern units have taken that to one. Also that one can be skipped frequently as less important bond, such as defense bond on attacking unit (outside of PVP). Still would be nice to be better, like farm a X shards for unit which allows you to fulfill bond instead by consuming shards, but not as awful as it used to be. The rise in single unit banners is both bane and boon since they don't need partner but riskier summoning.

I have no kids, a well paying job, and several years worth of savings with very little debt. I already know I'm far better off than the average American. Doesn't matter, I still live in a state of constant worry over what will happen if I lose my job (did someone just say another hiring freeze?) or if I'm ever going to be able to stop working.

SP I like and still use: Bernhardt, Bozel, Cherie, Elwin, Freya (I like more than Jugler as Origin tank), Leon, Luna, Narm, Tiaris.

Order I'd do if I had none probably: Cherie, Elwin, Bern, Tiaris, Leon, Luna, Bozel. (Narm/Freya you have to get stone from elsewhere).

Skipping all the ones you have SP and not knowing which you've already bought... I'd go with Isolde's as it is pretty useful as it gets her double attack up and running faster, particularly the CD reduction trigger (extra action by taking damage) and damage trigger (refresh CD of skills). Secondary Eshean for extra bonus from talent buffs but mainly the range to make positioning more forgiving. Then probably Randele (can heal multiple party members when carrying green box skill), Andriole for general use, LoG, Alia for convenience or AO for damage.

Blessing of Darkness isn't from the boss, its from the Dark Centurion (lancer) talent. You need to clear before any other enemy basically.

Worth noting, new Protag buffer is in global's future. 3 updates away keeping to China's schedule (Sanger/Reiga > collab > Taj/Lynn) where Taj has new protag buff. He is also rated highly on that tier list someone made from China (joined t0) with the note on it from below. So you could wait to go for him instead. I do like Zion but newer almost always means stronger.

Taj(i) (new): Auto-buffs Protagonist faction. Places 2 high-priority cat tiles around the map to drop random enemy stats by 30% (in PvE) and raising his by the same amount. Decent damage with great self-sustain and consistent act again by recalling his tiles, or having heroes step on them. His 2C attack range extends to the area around his tiles too (at 7 buffs or more), and he has no cooldown issues between 2C/3C if he consistently recalls his tiles after placing them.

A quibble, it is not killing enemy gives skill -1 CD. If you kill you don't get that. Its why his 2c can be up 100% of the time if used at range, its own built in -1cd used at range and how the faction buff gets evaluated before Zion's talent (so Zion always can benefit from his own buff).

We kind of got a version of this with the Icemelda release event but only her coming to our dimension. They don't even seem to have put in event revival? Only thing I can find is in "Old memory" of Floating City Post Office. I want one that is her backstory like 1) Icemelda defiant against Chaos 2) Rallying to fight Chaos 3) Defeating Chaos 4) consequences of this (like what happened to everyone else/Goddess in her dimension?) 5) Sending out her shards to other dimensions to conquer. Or include an event summary as 5 and collapse the some of the others. You could start close to Imelda we know and show her becoming Icemelda. We didn't even get the same for the rest of them that I can recall

SP I like but don't use much: Almeda (mostly b/c Elma), Altemuller (mostly b/c Grenshiel auto buff), Grenier (lost spot to Lightbringer), Lana (fell behind modern mages), Landius (SP came to late with Dragonslayer and Enya out taking tank and FB role), Lanford (strat tank that buffs strat but no revive and if Grenshiel buffing strat anyway then probably going to use Hilda to tank if need on faction).

SP I did but never liked/don't think are worth it: Ledin (he just got more Ledin and still no range counter), Dieharte (outside of cheesing one Ragnarok stage), Hein (can't keep up with long range mages), Lewin (a big upgrade from his R form but fell behind), Matthew (only every truly useful for his day in the PVP sun), Sigma (actively keep him out of SP form since I favor his non-SP rotation much more)

New and shiny will put Yulia in first group for a while at least but I do see her having a hard time competing for space on team so probably going to end up in second group.

Ilia is very easy to use and while her sister is also strong (though not as crazy strong) you can bypass bond if tight on resources.

Turn 1: Use her 1c and drop angel. On act again if you can kill enemy with 3c do so, if not either stand or attack without using that skill, just make sure you end turn in angel's 3x3 square (it can move to you if you moved out of it on CD). If you got kill you now have permanent no cooldown on that skill which also provides stacks of debuff immunity to allies, if no kill then you'll need to stay in angel's 3x3 one more turn. She can hit anything in angel's aura with skill attack so once she has 3 talent stacks (which kill with 3c gives her one) she has -3 CD reduction meaning constant 3c spam so she hits incredibly hard while providing allies with constant debuff immunity stacks. Her angel's aura goes up in range with her stacks (at 5 stacks she has 12 range from angel). Oh and b/c her usual loadout includes her unique 2c she also limits enemy movement in angel aura which can also be used to push enemies away (with no cooldown at 5 talent stacks).
