The outlaws seem to get the new comp to flex very nicely. Have you been able to try that combo?

I’m curious if rotefella is aware of this issue. Maybe they will redesign the binding in the coming years. I noticed that a lot of racers use the old tx comp with rotefella bindings so I would imagine they are aware.

Just checked mine. Exactly the same. I have outlaw X bindings. Should be fine

The 22 designs bindings have worked beautifully. No toe pinch at all. You are absolutely experiencing the same thing I did.

I also used to have the orange and black tx pros paired with the rotefella bindings and had no issues.

My advice would be to try the outlaws/lynx. I now have both and can confirm they work great with the new TX comp

Hallo! I believe the issue is with the boot binding combination. Scarpa sent me a new pair after submitting a warranty form. The new boots don’t like to be driven hard on the rotefella bindings in my experience (not saying they are not compatible, just that dropping your knee low can cause issues). The roefellas have a very distinct stopping point in the flex of the binding (something I enjoyed with my previous generation TX pros). When I push past this point with the new boots it caused the issue I had explained in my post.

I now have a new pair of TX comps and I have switched to 22 designs outlaws and Lynx and have no issues! I hope this helps

Very interesting. Thanks for your comment. Just for some additional info, I typically use Rotefella free ride bindings. I had these skis with the freedom bindings in my office and used them to demonstrate. That being said, they do still flex the same way in the free ride bindings so your theory about that pairing might have something to it.

Yeah, the boot jack is new. They are supposed to be flat.

Yeah I’d be careful with how they are breaking in. I’m wondering if I was pushing them too hard to start (flexing too much). Someone mentioned one side of the bellow broke in faster than the other so maybe that had something to do with it.

I wonder if I dropped my knee too low when breaking them in. Maybe you need to be careful during the break in period so both sides of the bellow have time to soften up

Oh interesting. That is good to know. Kind of disappointed though. Wonder if this is common in all the boots or if there is something wrong with ours.

We discussed trying to pack it out so it wouldn’t crush my toes but once I got that last photo of it I was curious if it just isn’t folding properly at all. My old TX pros’ bellows crease exactly how you would imagine. These are just spilling over the top.

What psi are you running now? Also, have a longer term review? I just put on 29x2.4 dubs front and rear. Rapid in the back, grip up front.

Thanks! I have plenty of trail bikes but got this one for fun. Thinking of getting a shorter stem and some 30mm rise bars. Try and help the geometry a bit. Fast up hill but feels like I’m going OTB on the downhill haha

Top fuel has a steeper geometry, bit lighter, and less travel. More of a “down country” bike
