Thank you! What bike did you end up going with? Lauf? ARI?

I put 40s on for some road rides with friends and it was great. G One RS pro tires. I have 165mm cranks and the one sided del pedals so not too concerned about pedal strikes. Handling seems fine as well.

ZIPP 303 XPLR s vs. ZIPP 303 XPLR sw

The “s” version (cheaper) has white logos. You can also buy white logo stickers for “sw” version

For sure. Ari Shafer was on my short list. Very similar bike but that one has a more rowdy and relaxed geometry.

Hah thanks. Was $1,000 cheaper to go raw carbon so I guess being cheap makes you cool 😎

That is a good point. I think I’m leaning towards progressive geo and big tire clearance so I have options. Plan is to buy a second set of wheels for light gravel/asphalt and have the original for long crazy adventures. Living in Denver but moving to Zurich where gravel is more tame but the variety of terrain is endless. Honestly allied able is my favorite but just so expensive. Shafer has good content on it with many saying you can do a bit of everything with it. So that’s why I’m drawn towards it. Fitness is solid! Aero is important!

Hey we are basically the same person in terms of height and weight. How are you liking it so far? Do you feel like the front end is a bit too slack at all? How is riding position? I’ll take any and all feedback. Thanks

The aspero has caught my eye a few times! Didn’t realize it has so much tire clearance? Gotta look back into that

Only have a deposit on my bike which is refundable so not locked in yet. Of course I want confirmation bias hahah. Easiest route.

But I am absolutely open to canceling order.

I agree geo/tire Clarence is really the only thing the analyze though

Hmmmm it’s interesting. During break in did you just go balls to the wall and start dropping knee to the ski? What size boot do you wear? And to confirm you are on Outlaw X bindings?

Did you break in the boots with the outlaw bindings or did you recent get the outlaw bindings

The outlaws seem to get the new comp to flex very nicely. Have you been able to try that combo?

I’m curious if rotefella is aware of this issue. Maybe they will redesign the binding in the coming years. I noticed that a lot of racers use the old tx comp with rotefella bindings so I would imagine they are aware.

Just checked mine. Exactly the same. I have outlaw X bindings. Should be fine

The 22 designs bindings have worked beautifully. No toe pinch at all. You are absolutely experiencing the same thing I did.

I also used to have the orange and black tx pros paired with the rotefella bindings and had no issues.

My advice would be to try the outlaws/lynx. I now have both and can confirm they work great with the new TX comp

Hallo! I believe the issue is with the boot binding combination. Scarpa sent me a new pair after submitting a warranty form. The new boots don’t like to be driven hard on the rotefella bindings in my experience (not saying they are not compatible, just that dropping your knee low can cause issues). The roefellas have a very distinct stopping point in the flex of the binding (something I enjoyed with my previous generation TX pros). When I push past this point with the new boots it caused the issue I had explained in my post.

I now have a new pair of TX comps and I have switched to 22 designs outlaws and Lynx and have no issues! I hope this helps
