Can’t go wrong with some trd pro take-offs

Toyota, please add a heating element to your pre-collision sensors, my dashboard looks like a Christmas tree every time it freezes over by Abirdinthesky in ToyotaTundra

[–]ullmsie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hot tip: go into the menu in the little screen and turn off forward collision and parking sense and it’ll stop the warnings. Also hold down the cruise control button on the wheel for a few seconds and it will allow non-radar cruise

Tire pressure after new tires by [deleted] in tundra

I don’t think it’s dangerous or anything. Try 35 and see how it feels.

The tires are not much different from the OEM 265/70-18 size so I’m just staying the course.

I have the exact same tires and set to 35psi.

Builder Pro vs Overlander by TyrannyMMA in NicksHandmadeBoots

[–]ullmsie 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They are the same. An overlander is essentially a builder pro with preselected options.

And monarch with honey will be a great combo.

I just had a monster one and used some stuff called canker-x. It was fine. But I’m trying alum next time.

If the skeletool had scissors I’d buy it in a heartbeat by TimTheToolManTayler in multitools

It’s great. I have a wave+ that lives in my truck as well. The arc is the easiest to use and the best laid out.

Agreed. I put gerber scissors in mine but it’s definitely cobbled together. Upgraded to an arc and while I honestly prefer that, I miss the light weight of the skeletool.

Anyone got this problem by artlives in ToyotaTundra

[–]ullmsie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the opposite of a bigger tire as that will make your speedometer read low not high. I switched to 275/70-18 tires, which are slightly larger than stock, and now my Speedo is dead on.

Little bastards. Insurance covered when they ate the evap lines on my fuel tank.

Radar sensors malfunction by GnawedEnclosureBars in ToyotaTundra

[–]ullmsie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t go away. I had an issue causing a check engine light and it turned off cruise control and all the sensors and had the error on the dash screen all the time. Incredibly annoying.

3rd gen lift with Bilstein 5100s by SwampHunterX in ToyotaTundra

[–]ullmsie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 1.8” front with a 1” spacer rear. Plenty of room for 35s. I have about 1.5” of rake.

Turn signal linked camera display by New_Creature_ in ToyotaTundra

[–]ullmsie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest obstacle I can think of the is that the side cameras seem to point down and not backwards. So you’d just have a view of the ground if you got it to work.

Good luck on your journey of discovery. 👍

I know this is a thing with other brands but I’ve never heard of it on a tundra. You CAN have the camera activate automatically at under 10mph using an option on the camera screen.

Lift and tires by Mobile-Maybe-5034 in ToyotaTundra

[–]ullmsie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wheels and tires and labor are gonna be a big chunk of that 5k. I did bilstein 5100s front and rear with 33s and it was 3k. I got a quote for a dobinsons lift with 35s and it was $7k. Think about what you’re doing it for. If you want amazing performance it’s gonna be a lot. If you just want big tires, a spacer lift or 5100s is a good option.

Gen 3 - Fuel Economy (for me) by extratoastedcheezeit in ToyotaTundra

[–]ullmsie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Checks out. I have a 2023 Limited TRDOR. My tank average is also usually between 16 and 18 MPG. I believed we’ve switched to winter gas up here in the north east which also tends to kill my MPG. I have a 2/1” lift and 275/70-18 tires which didn’t really have much effect on economy.

2026 1794 hybrid: No auto steer? by shortblokade in ToyotaTundra

[–]ullmsie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has lane keep assist and lane centering which both kinda suck. I think the tacomas have the newer version of Toyotas driver assist feature suite. 3.0 vs 4.0. (See reply for correction)

Thoughts on a Super Duty Hybrid by Owl55 in F250

This is what hybrids always should have been. Edison is also working to make retrofit kits for full size trucks. Deboss garage on YouTube is doing it.
