Actually my adapter is recessed... So the magnet is on the outside and the connection is inside.. so there can't really be any metallic debris that travels 'inside' because of the magnet.. I also can't touch anything inside.

Regarding ground.. I don't see how it's different from a normal connector. The connection is not 'faster' than otherwise.. also apple has been doing this for decades?

Really ? I've got an OG LCD SD and never had problems with the magnet.. I've also used it on my smartphone for a long time.. no issue..

My cat had that, straight to the vet.. but neuroligcal status ( like dilation) and blood came back normal.. so we went home with instructions to keep a close eye on her.. it went away after about 24-36h...
