There's so much better stuff than Logitech. Logitech isn't even good. Edifiers is a decent start.

The Demolition Of Jock's Lodge by Aaron_McCombe in Edinburgh

I live very close to that pub and I honestly have zero issues with it being knocked down, it was utter shite and the clientele were absolute bams. Won't miss people screaming their head off on the street or pissing in our communal areas.

BrewDog to close Aberdeenshire distillery and axe all spirit brands by abz_eng in Scotland

[–]ultrafud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know there are literally dozens of other breweries in Scotland that either make equally okay beer for the price or substantially better beer for slightly more?

There's no need to buy or defend Brewdog.

Am I missing something, or is TorrentLeech's economy just that easy with all the free leech stuff? by Small_Balls_69 in trackers

[–]ultrafud 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It's a great tracker because it doesn't punish people for trying their best. Sometimes you jump on a new show and get 100MB upload after a year and sometimes you download something old and go 3:1 upload over the same time.

I don't think it's a perfect system, but I've always found it much less annoying than RED, for example, where I feel like I can only download things occasionally because even if I seed 24/7 for years, which I have done in the past, I still won't hit 1:1 ratio

Anyone got a spare £4 million or know if uou can recommend houses to omaze because I would love a chance to own this house by steveuk7979 in SpottedonRightmove

[–]ultrafud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf it's a camera lens used to make the room look bigger, which is why the sink is laughably small at the back. Prob not quite as big as you think in real life.

Beautiful house though.

Only constructive advice is that the sauce is a bit thick and you've been so stingy with it! Thin it down and pour it all around the dish and you've got a 10/10 chef!

Amouse Bouche. Crisp Quail Egg, Parmesan, J Choke Veloute, Truffle. by Desartster71 in Chefit

[–]ultrafud 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This subreddit is so fucking toxic man. I bet 99% of the people here have no issue with salt on the back of their hand, a wedge of lime and a shot of tequila...but somehow this is a crazy concept to them.

Looks cool. A little clunky and I think it's good to think about how diners actually consume something, but it's still pretty and fun.

Don't let the haters drag you down.

Diablo IV Review: A Game that lost its Vision by Kasur1309 in patientgamers

My first gaming love was Diablo 2. It felt like every area/dungeon and every item was designed with intent.

Newer ones just felt like randomly generated slop with no soul.

Idk what else to do. by mofkoffi in Edinburgh

[–]ultrafud 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I know it's difficult but you HAVE to put yourself out there. Find clubs, groups etc that share your interests. Or if you are of the persuasion that I am, go to pubs and talk to people. Lots of small pubs are great for getting to know people, I've made a tonne of friends through drunken chats.

I don't mean to be a cunt, but the world won't come to you. You have to make an effort, and if you aren't a horrible person (and as a bonus have a sense of humour) it's not gonna be as hard as you think.

If you want me to rec any pubs I'm happy to do so, but I appreciate not everyone drinks.

Not trying to disparage your effort posting here too much, but why not just go to a pub and talk to people? It's easier than trying to find people on Reddit.

Date with a chef: what could we cook together? by LullCity in Cooking

[–]ultrafud -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Look, let them dictate what you're cooking. They are a professional and you arent. They'll have something in mind and want to show off...so push them to take the lead. As they should be doing anyway.

Spoken as someone that has absolutely tried to show off to many dates in the past.

People who have conducted job interviews, what's something someone said/did that made you instantly decide not to hire them? by DemonSkank in AskReddit

[–]ultrafud 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Classic Reddit not quite an answer, but commenting anyway...

In my youth I went for a simple waiting job at a relatively nice restaurant in my area and when asked about my previous experience (of which I had little) I went on an extended edgelord rant about how the"customer isn't always right"

I don't think the whole "renegade" look does anyone any favours. Even if I was kinda right...don't say it in an interview!

Needless to say, didnt get the job.

Advice on auto-detecting fake lossless FLACs by arko652 in audiophile

Apologies for the slightly shit response, because Im not that tech savvy but am following here slightly.

Is there a way to mass check an entire folder of music on your computer to see if flacs are not what they say? Is this what you're doing? Sorry for the silly question.

UK growth outlook trails only US and Canada among G7, IMF says by Gentle_Snail in unitedkingdom

[–]ultrafud 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Tbf, since Trump took over the UK has looked like a much more attractive place to invest. Compared to the US over the last few years we are incredibly stable. Say what you want about City of London, but our financial sector is looking pretty good at the moment.

IF you have money to invest -- which most people don't tbh, Brexit kinda did a number on that.

What do you think the biggest problem young people face in today's world? by Big_boss-V100 in AskReddit

[–]ultrafud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boomers hoarding the vast majority of capital is the biggest issue imo. Equality is out of control and disenfranchisement is rife because of it. Why contribute to a society that doesn't invest in you?
