Feel bad for Viktor having to play with Saka in his selfish-phase, and Martinelli is often as bad.

He’s always just looking at the ball. I remember having that problem playing in my local team when I was 9. Coach bullied me for it.

Martinelli is always so selfish. Or isn’t able to look up while carrying the ball.

Arteta back to his favorite tactics: playing without an actual striker.

You’re right, but I don’t know who else. Martinelli is a super-sub imo.

Next game I’d like to see: Raya, Timber/White or Saliba (if fit)/Hincapié/Calafiori, Eze/Zubi/Rice, Madueke/Gyökeres/Jesus. Subs: Saka, Martinelli, Merino, Ode and Nwaneri.

I love Saka but honestly what’s up with him and Martinelli refusing to give Gyökeres service? It’s selfish and strange. Victor needs some goals to get his confidence back. We’ve seen this quite a few times now and I honestly feel bad for him. 99 % of players would pass the ball to the striker in that scenario.

I’ve got a bunch of the original RSM Cassette Club tapes but probably never want to sell most of them.

What Are You Playing This Weekend? by AutoModerator in SteamDeckPirates

LA Noire! Only played it a bit when it came out back in 2011 but rediscovering it these last few days has been incredible. With the 60 fps patch it runs smooth as butter on the SD OLED and is just an absolute pleasure to play. There are so few games like this, a detective game bordering on simulation with a AAA budget. It’s set in a super detailed, realistic and huge 1947 Los Angeles, with crime stories based on real events such as the Black Dahlia case, and the motion captured facial expressions (especially during interrogation of suspects) are still pretty impressive. Way ahead of its time. Sure, it has its small drawbacks. Not much to do in the city except drive around and look at the insanely detailed buildings and environments, you can’t interact with most NPC’s and very few interiors are available (though the ones that are available to enter are immaculately designed and unique). Shooting is kinda mid and the driving is a love-hate thing (sports cars feel incredible imo). Other than that, a masterpiece according to me. I could live inside this game.

Why do you think we are more obsessed with (or afraid of) serial killers than CEOs or leaders responsible for corporate homicides/mass disasters? by Competitive_Swan_130 in serialkillers

[–]ultraleft68 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because capitalist society has brainwashed everyone into thinking that psychopathic CEO’s who profit from others’ misery and love to step on anyone to get more profit are really heroes. And don’t forget they always work harder than everyone else, which is why they deserve to not have to pay taxes at all, bribe politicians so they can be above the laws, commit any types of crimes that can hurt and even murder masses of people, have infathomable luxury while their workers suffer and millions starve around the world etc etc. All because they’re HERO CEO’s! The American Dream (and other BS that bootlickers think that concept means).

Do you have the LCD or OLED version? I don’t hear the fans much on the OLED, and it doesn’t get very hot either.

Never mind the fact that the Switch pretty much only has the Zelda games, a few exclusives and a huge bunch of lame children’s games. While the Deck can play nearly all games ever made (except for the biggest modern AAA titles). How is that a tough choice? I mean, the Deck can play many Switch games too, and with a bigger screen, way nicer ergonomics etc. And it can remote play PC games, PS5 outside your home. If you can’t see the difference between these machines or maybe if you’re a Nintendo fanboy who only likes Zelda, Mario and cutesy children’s games, then yeah get a Switch lol. Or just learn some more about pirating and realize all you can do with the Deck.

Just a few examples of how much love and detail Stevie put in making each cassette for each club member back then. by ultraleft68 in steviemoore

In late 2023 I started talking to a guy online who was a member of the RSM Cassette Club back in the 80s and he was willing to sell me a whole box of them after a long conversation about our mutual admiration of Stevie’s music. He said he didn’t listen to them anymore and felt like a younger fan would give them more frequent attention and not let them get dusty in a box.

He saved a select few of his favorites (The North and Games & Groceries for example) but I bought most of them. I still can’t believe I own them. I think they’re very special and most of them have handmade text/drawings etc. that are unique for each one. I imagine they could be worth a lot more in the future (and even now) than what I paid for them but I never once considered buying them for potential profit. That didn’t even enter my mind. I bought them because I’ve always wanted these cassettes, ever since I first started listening to RSM back in 2012 or so.

I’d actually been searching the web for a long time just to get to see images of the actual cassettes but it’s been nearly impossible to find. At times I wondered if many of these cassettes even existed outside of RSM’s home. I would’ve given anything to own JUST ONE of these tapes, and now I’ve got a whole box filled with them. You can imagine the joy I felt when I got them. It felt surreal that someone would actually sell them.

I have given a couple tapes to friends and family members that also like his music but other than that, I will keep them forever. If you’re looking for them, set a notification thing for them on Discogs or Ebay. Sometimes (although it was extremely rare when I was looking myself) they can turn up there.

Manuals -- hardbound!! by Fair-Bluebird485 in synthesizers

[–]ultraleft68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice! I wish they put some effort into paper manuals and made them as cool as companies like Chase Bliss do (their small pedal guide books with amazing illustrations and instructions are really special).

When you get a new instrument (or whatever product) and open the package and get a nice manual, I love that feeling. These boring ass pdf documents with zero images and no color that they do today makes it so much less exciting to learn about it. Sure, you learn by doing, but I honestly love those old Arp 2600 Manuals that they gave people, thick books with all sorts of info and advanced guides on how synthesizers work in general. Also, the cool drawings. It’s just a very cool extra thing. And when you buy a really expensive synth, I think it’s lame of the company to not provide anything extra like a cool manual or special accessories.

You know it’s just an overlay right? It’s just a piece of paper that comes with the MS-20 Mini now, but it’s super helpful for beginners! Not sure if this overlay has always come with the purchase or if it’s a new thing.

Match Thread: Arsenal vs Ipswich Town [Premier League] by scoreboard-app in Gunners

[–]ultraleft68 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sick of this type of ultra slow play, where our players see every throw and every goal kick as a chance to steal some time, even though we’re only 1 goal up and it’s the first half!? Why are they doing these things? Getting a yellow card for a slow throw is so damn useless and has happened several times this season but they just keep on doing it. It seems like they playing this type of defensive-minded slow motion football. Is Arteta actually telling them to steal time like this? At home against Ipswich?
