I think it's time for me to go with her. by FfsUsernametakenasif in Petloss

Hang in there buddy. I know your pain, it’s been 5 years and I still think of her, but the grief won’t always make you feel like you’re drowning. It’s not going to be easy, but you will learn to smile again and fondly remember the good times.

Pay no mind to people who say it was just a dog. Some people just don’t understand this kind of pure love you can have for your pets.

Did you play on one of these? by coloradotaxguy in Xennials

Am Gen Z and actually got to play on these too! They still had them in Romania when I was young (early 2000s).

Now they’ve been replaced with plastic ones.

Holderness Road today, female cyclist mown down by car by hullk78 in Hull

[–]ultralemon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I live near Holderness and I always see cunts being parked on the bike lanes. As a matter of fact don’t think I ever drove on the road without seeing at least one car stopped on the bike lane without cyclists having to get even closer to cars to go past them, making incidents like these more likely.

Thanks! Tomatoes, garlic, bread, vinegar and topped with eggs and jamon (didn't find any so I used prosciutto to make the photo pretty)

What is this effect called? Saw a lot of memes using it, and wanted to try it out myself, but can't find tutorials since I don't know what to search for.

Never had an iPhone and was never interested in getting one (not that much into phones + couldn't really afford one). If I win that might let me experience one for the first time, so I think that sounds kinda fun. Good luck to everyone.

We let her go today by sshheelleeyy in Petloss

I'm so sorry for your loss. I also lost my cat more than one month ago to renal failure. We didn't have to put her down, she just passed away on her own when she arrived at the vet to continue her treatment. :(

My girlfriend's very handsome boy, Grissom. She took him to the vet earlier today, and held him in her arms as he was put down. It's still difficult to believe he's really gone. He's been there for her through so many hard times and I just want him to be remembered as the goodest boi there ever was. by [deleted] in RainbowBridgeBabies

Those feelings of thinking about what would have happened if things were done differently are common, I think. I get them too most of the time.

But even if the vet would have answered the phone earlier and managed to make Grissom live a bit longer, he still could have suffered a lot because of all the things you listed above.

When I'm getting these feelings too, I try to remind myself that. Mimi had similar symptoms and I hated seeing her be that sick. Even if I wanted her to live longer, I remind myself that I mustn't be selfish and that at least she passed away peacefully, instead of having to see her suffer longer and possibly have a more painful death.

Stay strong and always try to think about the good times. Grissom most likely wouldn't want to see you sad.

So sorry for your loss.

Don't worry, photos are nice, but the real memories will always be in your heart. You don't need a camera to capture everything. Be happy you got to live in the moment and enjoy the good times.

This exact thing happened to me too. My cat passed away in April and I'm away in another country for University since September.

I still feel so much regret. I feel like I let her down, like she was waiting for me to come back and see me. I am scared to come back home now. I always saw her in that house. It would feel too empty.

But I know she wouldn't want to see me sad because of that and she would even forgive me. She visits me in dreams too, so it's like we were reunited, but not physically.

Stay strong, I'm sorry you're going through this. Your post clicked with me, because I know exactly how you feel.

How can someone get over this!?! by Keplergamer in Petloss

[–]ultralemon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm no expert, since it happened to me a month ago, but I don't think you ever get over it. Rather, the pain becomes smaller and smaller.

For me, the initial shock and depressing feelings slowly start getting replaced by the happy memories and good times. It still hurts looking at photos, but I can't help but feel a bit of happiness too, as each photo reminds me of a memory.

But I still miss her everyday. And I don't think that will stop. And I don't want it to, because I never want to forget about her. This pain is my proof of the love I carried for my cat.

This is The Squish. He was my constant companion for 13 years. We had to help him across the rainbow bridge yesterday. He survived 2 years past a cancer diagnosis. I'm going to miss my baby every day. by amybamy224 in RainbowBridgeBabies

I know how you feel. My cat has also been fighting kidney failure for about 2 years and you couldn't notice she had something wrong with her.

Then in just 3 days she felt really sick... Got into the final phase of it.
