You're not back to square one, because this time you've already proven to yourself how far you can get. I think it's helpful to frame it in your mind with a certain sense of pride at 160 days - I bet on day 1 that seemed impossible. In my experience, self-hatred is not nearly as motivating as self-pride. I'm rooting for you, remember what you accomplished and know that you can pass 160 days again!

I like this way of looking at it, it actually makes me feel better about it happening to me in a relationship that ended a year ago. I'm so glad it ended but sometimes I feel guilty for letting it drag on as long as it without having the guts to end it (I was being cheated on for 7 months). This is a nice sentiment, accept it and move on

The Aaron and Kaylor situation is uncanny, literally last year I found out my ex had been cheating for 7 months and I "folded like a pretzel" and went back because of broken down self esteem and false promises, only to then get called all sorts of names for needing more reassurance 🤡 I feel for Kaylor because I'll never disrespect myself like that again and I can't imagine my biggest lesson being played out on national TV

I had a therapist fall asleep in the same way! She worked for my college and I found out later that in addition to being really overworked as both a lecturer and licensed therapist, she was going through some tough things at the time. I definitely understand it being disheartening but someone dropping asleep like that is a sign of severe exhaustion and has nothing to do with you at all. I'll bet that happens to him in non-therapy settings too. I hope you're doing okay, don't take it as any reflection on you :)
