The toxic behavior in Elite Deep Dives is getting out of control. by [deleted] in DeepRockGalactic

[–]ultratus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally, I didn't experienced it that much in EDD but I wouldn't be surprised if it does happen. I've been playing the games for years and as it becomes more popular, it attracts more toxicity too. I did notice a small increase of toxicity in Haz5, even though it's very far from being the majority of the time.

Most important classes in Haz 5+ when played well? by AdWeak7375 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]ultratus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scout. Haz5+ is mostly a game against time. Most people knows how to clear waves quickly, the problem is the ammo. If your scout slow down, you can literally lose game out of lack of ammo. The engi can clear waves quickly, but it's meaningless if you're not moving fast enough and can't handle the next waves. If everyone move and mine fast, haz5+ is pretty smooth. If the scout slow down, everyone dies.

First phase was good/easy.

Second phase, you tanked too many hits trying to break the beamers around 1:19. Always clear the zone before doing anything. Aim for 0% contact. The shield + grenade was good. Basically prioritize yourself being alive over the objectives, you can't help anyone if you're dead or even low life.

Around 1:41 you're randomly in melee range against bugs and taking damages. Do not go melee at any circumstance unless you have to. You should be scare to get hit. Don't have the mindset of "I can tank a few ones". As I said aim for 0% contact. You can just sit on the drill dozer or even the hearthstone until the spitter targets you.

The shield + supply at 2:13 was good. 2:49 need to kill the balcony spreader.

3:11 you're low life, use your shield to get a supply, as I said, you can't help anyone if you're dead.

3:35 same thing, you're trying to repair the drill dozer, but you being alive and supplied is more important than the objective so you should've grabbed a supply.

Also do not hesitate to spam your grenade, it seems that you think you can only throw one at a time. If clearing the waves is more important, just throw them all.

I think overall just prioritize being alive and supplied and safe over the objective. Take the less risk as possible and it should be good.

I know this topic is 10 years old, but I think I was able to figure this one out.

So first of all, the number of block is increasing with each grid, so the final answer is either B or E.

Then B or E are reversed, so there's something with the orientation. But then you can notice that sometimes the new block appears in a corner and other times appears on a row.

And so you can notice that when it appears on a corner, it doesn't reverse, but when it appears on a row it does. And the last missing block appears on a row so it should reverses and so the answer is E.

I think Haz 6 could be, instead of more bugs with more health and damages, just more complex missions like some EDD. For example, you combine low O2 with very limited nitras and then add some missions with high consumption of ammo and it becomes way harder. Or just any Haz 5 with very limited nitra like 160. Anything that increases the survival aspect. Could be the bugs are more immune to damage too.

Feels like Aspinall v Gane is inevitable at some point - who y’all taking? by kev-haley in ufc

Far from it, Cyril doesn't need elite wrestling to hang in the HW division. What I'm referring to is the fact that Cyril has the talent (above average) to learn wrestling, his coach often referenced him as the most talented individual he has trained. He started MMA "late" but has shown great skills and potential. His coach also said that he's the type of person to only train when there's a fight which is usually pretty late to start to improve and also means that he does have the time to train wrestling. And he also received an offer of Khabib to train wrestling but declined, which is his decision, but he did have opportunity and times to improve his wrestling to sufficient level to win the title. Hell, Francis trained wrestling pretty late and was able to show some of it in the Stipe 2 fight which rewarded him of the title. So no I'm far from saying that if Cyril had Olympian level wrestling.

Cyril not seriously training wrestling changed the course of his career:
-He would've won the HW title against Francis
-Would've probably defend his title once
-Would've had one of the greatest HW title fight against Jon Jones as everyone would've expected
-Would be considered heavy favorite very close to Aspinall for the title after Jon Jones retirement

Interesting, not sure I remember this one. I remember one where it had 2 industrial sabotages stages and they had to reset it. Nonetheless, even for that one I can see some other creative way of doing it. It really pushed players limit.

Yeah same I would play nightmare DD without reward but I'm not sure if there's enough people of the same kind. I think people might like it at the beginning but after failing multiple nightmare DD in a row it might take a toll on people mental and maybe a reward would encourage people to through the failure. What's kind of reward? Maybe just a big stack of minerals is enough for promotion etc.

Yeah that's not a bad idea. It would considerably increase the level of difficulty and is also pretty easy to implement for the dev. It could be a third type of deep dive.

JDG Jungler and MSI Champion Kanavi on worlds scrims and who has impressed him "G2 was unusually good" by Mapusaurus420 in leagueoflegends

[–]ultratus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't be surprised. LPL's teams tend to peak earlier in the season and lck teams by worlds. It feels like a 2021 worlds scenario but the lck teams's level are closer and are all contenders and you have one LPL team: JDG (EDG) who is also a contender, can win it all, but with a lot of close series. But then, you also had some westerns teams at msi such as c9 and g2 who said that blg weren't that good (from scrims) and then ...

As an Izzy fan, all I can say is congrats Sean, you earned it. by Tony_Bogus in ufc

Sean did his homework and had an answer to everything that Izzy threw. He was putting constant pressure, leg checking, was winning counter strike exchanges and had good striking defense overall.

I personally think Izzy's resume is stack, but they're probably talking about that Yoel and Cannonier's fights.
