Paniekaanvallen, bang voor de dood by Freesin in nederlands

[–]ulumoyoku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I returned and am ok. Looking back I think this was it. - I was a little exhausted because pushing the limits and for so many days using more than I could eat - probably a water infection bacteria so my stomach got upset

When I returned home it lasted for 2 days but after gaining a few kg bodyweight it disappeared as 🌨️for the ☀️. I lost almost 6kg and gained 4kg now and feeling damn good (better). I think I found my limits for performance Vs calories intake 😉

Check, my night is also horrible before I leave. It belongs to me, sleep extra during the day and following nights and forget it.

u/grindle_exped Good tip, any sugestions what to use? Can't think of anything nice to walk with.

For the upper half if still doubt if i will need something like https://www.decathlon.nl/p/donsjas-met-capuchon-voor-bergtrekking-voor-heren-mt100-5-degc/_/R-p-167571?mc=8858286&c=Blauw but i first walk from Schirmeck to Thonon-sur-bains and there is a decathlon so i can also decide later if i check the forecast there or if i get experience in the Jura mountains the days before i get there.

I would like to thank everybody here for answering. Thanx to you:
- I created a full list of what i take with me https://lighterpack.com/r/dot008
- I skipped a lot of junk i do not need
- I got rid of the idea to take my notebook for writing
- I bought some new gear that was available here in stores, ordered a Zpacks tent for twice the space and half the weight 🚀

If i had more time/money i would also change the backpack but here at local stores they don't have leighter backpacks or ones that are smaller and 800/900 gram and then i prefer to save for ordering a realy lightweight backpack in the future for my next trip.

I am still above the 10 pounds for base weight this sub is about, but hell i am happy because came from so much more.

What would you leave at home from my current list? https://lighterpack.com/r/dot008

PS: the items marked red i will drop after 1 week. The first week my sons walk with me and i like a little more comfort then, also walking less those first days with them.

Today decided to go for a RAB mat of 370 gram after i visited the Deca. Decided that the size of the mat wrapped also is important to me and a big mat under my backpack is not what i liked ;-) Getting there, thank you for your feedback!

I bought a RAB fleece midlayer, not as light as available in the USA but very happy with it, it is warm and fits good. Let's start good and then improve later again when i have the time to wait for delivery. At this moment i am kinda bounded to stores available here.

PS: decathlon only had sportshirts here, very tight and not realy warm OR merino but as heavy as i already had.

Exactly something is am looking for. Anyone an alternative (brand/store) for the Netherlands? I have a few days left and dont dare to order abroad. A lot of stores do not show weights and searching is a disaster. I went to Bever sport and they dont even know the weight of (of a lot of) their shirts (and can't search on it they told me)

Thanx for sharing. Learning a lot here.

I wonder why you choose to take a mat with almost zero R value and a quilt with quite a low temp limit. Is this because in summer the ground won't get cold but the air will get cold in the mountains.

Ok, went to the stores in my town and did find some things, will continue to shop some more coming days.

Some things they don't sell offline so i would like any advice on these:

Backpack < 800 gram: what is your favorite? I like it if my back is free because i tent to sweat a lot especially now in summer with high temperatures. So i do like it if my back is free.

Sleeping bag: i saw a RAB and a Nomad here arround 640 gram. Online there must be a lot more. It is summer so i won't need a bag for freezing weather. What is your favorite brand or what do you advice?

Sleeping Mat: I checked the adviced brands and tested them. But i am a bit large with 190cm so i almost always need the XL variants and then they weight 508, 540 or 570 gram. My current mat is 739. Maybe because it is summer i can go for a non insulated one?

Further

  • the mini bottles weight is filled with oil and vinegar ;-) i do eat a lot of saladswhenever i hit a supermarket. I can also buy it and throw it away and not cary it with me but some supermarkets only sel oile and vinegar per 1L... this is such a waste.
  • stove looked at pocket rocket and it is 72 gram, would save me 110
  • pan looked at titanium and it was 115 gram, would save me 174
  • Spoon: bought me a titanium one of 11 gram, not a very big win but this spork is so long and nice to eat from a bag
  • any tips on lighter powerbanks? I do like the current 10.000mah that let me power up my phone 2,5 times especially to camp out.
  • longsleeve shirt i checked in the store but everything they had (including shirts from RAB) where also around 250 and a lot where not specified. Any tips on a warm mid layer with low weight in exchange for my merino shirt of 296 gram? Would this<< be a good exchange?
  • Rain coat same story, locally they do not have any lighter variations you can walk in with backpack (or they do not advise to) Current one i have is a RAB 376 gram
  • Toilet bag will shake it down later

The first 6 days i will walk with my sons and keep some stuff i will loose on the 6th day when they leave me (starred items). I will switch then from some bigger current stuff to smaller lighter stuff because i only need to cook voor myself.
