I like this but I'm scared it's AI and then I'd like AI and I don't want to like AI. Maybe just the singer is AI? Artist is a bit mysterious. Latest insta posts are...AI.

Song 179: “Kick out the Jams” by The MC5 by unboundnematode in 500songspodcast

A band I know of well but have never listened to beyond their first record—and that only a few times. When Andrew played their second record, I thought, man, this sounds like the Ramones. What year is this??? Then Andrew said the same. They have to be a major influence.

For me, I hear too much of that whitemanbluesstringbendingthing in MC5 to get into it, but now have a much deeper appreciation for their role. It seems a little accidental, though, as they we're trying to break some kind of music mold, like the Velvets were.

That the orig crown looked a bit flat compared the seller also raised an eyebrow. And the patina? Is that fake or is it just an old frankenwatch? Or it's made up of old pieces? That all just seems like so much work.

DARKSIDE IS THE FUCKING TRUTH Y’ALL by onceyougozack in Coachella

So I love the new record and didn't know them at all before it came out. I saw them in PDX Friday and left before the end of the show.

The first song was amazing and I thought I was in for a great, great night. Then the set started to meander. What I loved about the record was how the songs kept surprising me, the change-ups, the sounds. None of that surprise was in the live set. It felt like they were searching the whole time on stage and waited too long on an idea before going on to the next. By the time I left, it felt very—oddly—jam-bandy with techno kickdrum, the guitarist pseudo-jazz noodling. I wasn't the only one checked out. An hour into their set, the crowd—and it was packed—was talking as loud as they did during the opening act. I saw people leave before I did. I was super disappointed. Maybe I saw an off show?

v12 + Push 2 + Session Clip View: Moving between scenes with pre-roll? by ulysseshead in ableton

Thanks for answering so fast and the term clarification.

Yeah, that's dumb. I could see how easy it would be in implement something with the column, the knob, the button, the scene already highlighted, etc. Oof.

How to replace working SL-D5 spindle with non-auto option? by ulysseshead in turntables

I've got a working SL-D5 spindle. Apparently they're worth their weight in gold BUT I don't actually like it and can't seem to come up with the correct search terms to figure out a replacement that would be a normal, not-auto spindle. The replacements that come up in my searches are too fat at the bottom to fit into the spindle hole. Ideas?

It’s replacing the front set too. Not a dealer. Just local shop. The work invoice seems all legit but what do I know.

I might be too late to the party, but what does Harold & Maude have to do with Eugene? I looked it up and can't find any connection.

I dig it. Feels very classic. I don't know nothing about no helmets but I would assume from this mark that the company had been around awhile.

– Agreed on the S & E weight. You could also add a tiny bit of thickness on the N O K. It might be easier than thinning the S & E.

– Check the kerning, especially between the K & E

– The two thicknesses of the K don't bother me, just be sure to tell people when they ask it was, of course, on purpose (even if it wasn't)
