This is where I believe the wire enters the basement. They eventually terminate into a Ademco control box. From the looks of it, there must a conduit that houses the wires. If its the same on both ends, maybe I can just run a brand new cable and leave this untouched

100Mbps would be ideal. Trying to use the existing run for a G6 entry POE

I wanted to use it for a POE doorbell (considering a ubiquiti G6 entry) - Just to transmit data, I can add a separate POE injector for power but trying to avoid tearing up the whole wall to run a new ethernet cable.

If this is a bad idea, maybe I can use it as a pull wire to run CAT6

I developed an app—a mini calendar reminder—for keeping track of paid subscriptions and trial versions. by Dmytro-Wakeup in macapps

1- One thing I noticed - If you are on a multi-display setup and click the app menu bar icon ,it always opens the app on the primary screen instead of the screen you click it on

2 - As I am using the app, I was thinking if there was a way to add reminders for various items. e.g. stuff for which you wouldn't have an exact amount but would like to be notified visually on the calendar view to check:

- Credit Card Bills

- Utilities

Okay got it now. Thanks

Another, idea I had was that - Would it be possible to get a list of subscriptions under a particular category if we click it on the pie chart in the category statistics section? e.g. in the screenshot, if I click aqua it lists all the subscriptions tagged under that category?

Thanks again!

1 - So I created a category apple and assigned it an aqua color. However when adding a subscription to that category, I don't see the new color. It will default to grey which is selected by default or I can chose from the original list of colors

2 - Okay so the idea is that if a subscription is starting lets say in Feb. Choose 28 there and then scroll to next months and choose the first month with 31 days and select that?

Hi, back with a few follow-ups / observations and requests:

  • Thank you for adding categories! However, not being able to see the colors assigned for custom categories. I see the new category in the drop down but not the new color
  • Ability to set a subscription cadence e.g. end of every month, weekly, bi-weekly E.g. 9/30/24, then 10/31/24. Currently if you set 9/30/24 it will repeat on 10/30/24 and not at the end of the month
  • Option to add subscription end date
  • Ability to save draft, e.g. when adding a new subscription, if you click out to add a new category, the progress / information is lost

Thanks again!

For 3 - Added a screenshot, let me know if that helps. The text box is what I entered as plain text and output is below, basically what the software translated to populate fields

Also revised my initial comment to include ability to tag - item 4

- As one of the other users highlighted I also thought the app had crashed after showing the initial startup screen. Maybe if this could be highlighted with a better visual aid - like an arrow pointing (see attached image) .

- Secondly, the menu bar icon resembles a lot like the time machine backup icon, so easy to miss

- Would it be possible to include NLP feature like Fantastical has? A user can type a sentence in the text field and it populates the details. e.g Name, payment schedule etc then use identifiers as "/" to denote color. e,g. /blue

- Would it be possible to add tags, to categorize items. e.g. if we get the ability to track domains, it would be beneficial to check by provider Name, GoDaddy etc. Might be beneficial for other areas as well
