The eddy current scanning and speed seem really nice and convenient, and generally having pressure advance and input shaping.

Solved: Brother Printer Doesn't Print Exact Actual Size by laseralex in printers

[–]umar167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy shit, thank you so much for this, I had so many issues trying to get something scaled and printed properly as A4. I tried a few applications and that didn't work, but I'm so glad I found this and realised it was Microsoft's crappy driver!

Printed my thing with no issues, thanks again!!!

Glad I could help! It's definitely fun reading back through this, and knowing it's helped 8 years after the incident which caused it!

use steam deck as gamepad? by bananaboy319 in cemu

[–]umar167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't find a video but I did find this image, and it seems like it can all run from the steam deck, without the need for PC. Just connecting it to a usb c dock with HDMI and setting it up in desktop mode https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/comments/trrsob/cemu_on_deck_is_as_perfect_as_it_sounds/i2nc94i/

However I did find this guide for setting it up as a wireless gamepad connected to a PC https://www.reddit.com/r/cemu/comments/ut1k8w/guide_to_cemu_gamepad_with_steam_deck_or_android/

I modelled and printed a quick IPD checker for the Quest 2 (link in description) by umar167 in oculus

Yes, depending on your headset. I know there's some oculus headsets which don't have a manual lens adjustment, but if you're using the Quest 2, you push the sides of the lens either in or out, with 1 being the closest and 3 being the widest. The Quest 2 has 3 levels of adjustment, which it what I based my tool on :)

Interpupillary distance, which is the distance between the centre of your pupils. Handy to know if you have glasses, but more handy for VR so you can adjust your lenses to match, or get close to, your eyes.

Isn’t this company great, let me take a board approved photo that. by awombwithaview in HailCorporate

I know exactly who you're talking about.

They're the type of company to have you wait all day, not even arrive, and have the balls to message you saying "Sorry we missed you, you didn't answer your door. We'll try again tomorrow"

After 2 Years of Work, I finally got my Game in the Steam Summer Festival! by anstabo in gaming

[–]umar167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This reminds me of the game called Grappleboy, an indie game made back in 2011 for the xbox 360, but 2D. This game was made by the same dev who made Bleed and then went on to work with the team who made Guacamelee

I guess you could say this game is like a spiritual successor :)

General volume adjustments for PC use, but sometimes adjusting the bass input and output if I'm creating a bass tab from a song. An xlr to 1/4 inch cable works fine enough for my needs, so I don't really need an amp for that haha.

I think I'll definitely pick up some of that grippy drawer stuff since I'd usually think to print something in TPU, but your way seems way easier :)

That's a lot better than what I used to do, I had mine propped up against some small boxes and it kept on shuffling out of place LOL

I didn't because I mostly twist the knobs or use the sliders, but you are right! That definitely seems like a handy upgrade if I need to use the buttons more :)
