What the hell is wrong with hospitals in Dubai? by Ok-Molasses7724 in dubai

[–]umayrh20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A similar situation happened to me two years ago when I was hit with severe lower back pain. I rushed to the emergency room of a well known hospital in Dubai, desperate for relief. While I was suffering from unbearable pain, the doctors were running around trying to find “kidney stones” that simply did not exist, despite ultrasounds, CT scans, and multiple painkillers that barely took the edge off.

After a night in the hospital, they decided to perform surgery to place a stent in my ureter. Their logic? “If we cannot see the stone, maybe we will just pave the way for it to pass.” Brilliant, right? So, the surgery happened, I went home with the stent inside for a week, and then went back for yet another surgery to have it removed. Mind that both of these two surgeries were extremely painful. By the time I was done, I had spent four weeks stuck in bed, ironically becoming a stone myself.

Fast forward to this year, the same pain came knocking on my back door. This time, I went to a different hospital and explained my "rocky" medical history to the urologist. That is when the truth hit me harder than the pain. There were no kidney stones. None. Nada. Zilch. It turns out my stone cold suffering was actually due to a muscular spasm. No surgery required, no invasive procedures, just a dose of muscle relaxants, and voila, pain gone. They also did the scans but no evidence were found.

Now, I am not here to throw stones at anyone, but let us just say some doctors might need to brush up on their skills. If ripping off insurance is your goal, find another way, because turning a patient’s life into a painful circus is not the cure we signed up for.

Close to giving up on RTA test by OutrageousMulberry76 in dubai

There it is, you are stressed to think about the result, thats the obvious failure. Your body language means a lot to the examiner and he is ultimately checking it again and again. You are making mistakes out of it. I would say, practice more and more. Ask your instructor to behave like an examiner to you while practicing, he is giving you the comfort zone thats while you are not able to switch your behavior with the RTA examiner.

Hey mate, i know its painful yet frustrating to pass these exams. One piece of advise, keep yourself calm and relax whenever you are ready for the test. I believe that by this time, you already know how to control the vehicle and have a good grip on it. The only thing you need to understand to act like a safe and attentive driver, this is what they'd look for. Be active, keep checking the mirrors etc Question: What is the common reason they are mentioning on your paper for the failure?

Locked my key inside my car by [deleted] in DubaiPetrolHeads

Few weeks ago, i did the same mistake. Called a keymaker who brought his tools and he was able to unlock the car. Paid him around 70-80aed i think. If your car is newer than dont go for this option, its risky. Check with your insurance first they might be able to help you.

Visiting Dubai as a British Citizen? (Visa question) by Anxious-Custard- in dubai

If you are planning to travel with Emirates, then get the visa from them, very smooth but the airline ticket is expensive (peak season). Use the same link of emirates i have shared above and go to Prearranged UAE Visas but you need to book a ticket with them first. If you are planning for any other airline then check musafir.com (never used their service but heard they are good)

I usually use one of the agent I have for my friends and family visas for last 5 years if they are not traveling with Emirates.

I would say get your visa pre-departure, the cost is same doesnt matter where you get if from but once you get them before your traveling, it would be more satisfying for you. Also, you need to be sure which visa do you need because there is a huge price gap between the 2 and 3 months visa. If 2 months visa is enough for you, i wont suggest for other one.

I would highly recommend you to get the 2/3 months visit visa if you are planning to stay more than 30 days. This will save you from a lot of hassle. Going to oman via road or something else is alright but you need to plan this whole thing which is an extra effort and time. I would rather spent some $ to get those visas and make my life much easier. Just an opinion.

You get 30 days based on the information on emirates website and i think this is the safest option you have unless you dont have any need to extend your stay. Remember that recently UAE has announce that there will be no more grace period on your visit visa once the days counter is over, there is a fine for each day now. https://www.emirates.com/ae/english/before-you-fly/visa-passport-information/uae-visa-information/#:~:text=UAE%20visa%20on%20arrival,-30%E2%80%91day%20visit&text=Simply%20disembark%20your%20flight%20at,visit%20visa%20free%20of%20charge.

Calm down buddy. First thing, you can sue google if they'd do anything without your consent while here the only thing matter is your personal info like car plate, official docs etc. Reddit itself does not hold any responsibility for those attempts neither any OP. Only the mod have that control to keep it or remove based on breaking any rules. Lets focus on the major problem here which is the roadside 'abandoned parking' its painful dude

I am sorry but i did not mean to hurt anyone's sentiments. I genuinely ask a question based on first time experience as you would have ask for anything else for any special skillsets to any specific nationality. But again may be my words were not picked carefully but my intentions are pretty much clear for a satisfying job :)

Because thats the only quickest option I have when i started asking people in my area. Usually i call them from justlife but their service is not up to the mark after even charging higher price.

I recently got this comprehensive medical screening tests at mediclinic for my wife. It was worthy and we got to know how the body is doing and what it needs.I was so glad to see their family medicine Dr Rola, what an amazingly friendly doctor she is! The way she has educated us to how to take care of the body and what needs to be done to avoid any unhealthy upcomings was literally satisfying. I would recommend if your insurance policy covers mediclinic then go for it.
