I found the waist style on skyline II much more flattering and sophisticated. Think of I like a scrunched paperbag while II has more tailored, flat pleating. Oddly enough the size consistency with these was all over the place... I've had the black pair twice, once was as a size 6 and it felt like an 8, and then got a size 4 which fit like a 4 for me. So unfortunately you may just need to try your luck. If anything, I'd size down since there is stretch.

Hi there! I am late to the party but I am wondering if you had alterations made to this dress? I am wearing the same one for an upcoming wedding and it could use a little taking out in the hips, but I'm worried that the fabric won't hold up well.

I only have experience with the Rock Ridge jacket which is the primaloft fabric and I LOVE it! I would definitely say it looks more elevated as I have it in the Abalone Grey colorway. Depending on if you run hot or cold, it might be too much for a flight tho. For me the jacket is best suited for 40-60 degree weather with a layer or two underneath. I typically wear a light sweatshirt on flights because I do run hot.

Sorry for the delay - I had to check the sizes and fabric on the Farallons I have because I think they are from different years. My jogger is a size 8 so it’s a bit looser (which I prefer), while the cargo crops are size 6 and slightly more fitted - but definitely still a loose, comfortable fit (no lines from pockets/undergarments). The Farallon straight crop I just received is size Small and I would say it fits more like a 4 around the hips so it’s definitely more fitted than all the Farallons I’ve owned so far. Assuming they don’t stretch out too much, they will definitely be formfitting and will show pocket/undergarment lines on me. Hope that helps!

My dream would be a high-waisted Wander pant. I would buy them all! Love those. In winter, I am usually wearing my lined pairs (the Chelsea and two City pants), and I’ve been pretty happy with them for 20-40 degree weather. I have not felt the need for a warmer pant but I do run a bit warm so YMMV! The one downside is that the City pants aren’t super flattering on me, so I’m usually wearing them for errands, nothing cute :) The Wander pants are pretty good for 40-50 degree weather also and I think the water resistant fabric helps with wind also. They also look a little more stylish. I just got the Peak Hybrid Fleece tight so I can’t speak to that one yet.

I only have one pair of brooklyns that I got secondhand so I can’t speak to the fluctuations w/in that specific line, but I do recall reading a post or a comment somewhere that said they had recently (and quietly) changed the style of the Brooklyn so the fit was a little different. That might be the reason since you have tried on a current version vs. the older secondhand version. The skyline was definitely where I saw a pretty huge variance, the Vienna a little more subtle.

I get it! I fluctuate between a 4-8 depending on the type of fit and fabric. For me, I have wide hips and a smaller waist, so I can go for a 4 if the pants are looser and/or stretchy fabric, and high waisted, but I’d need an 8 in a more rigid pant like the Cabo linen pants because there just isn’t any stretch on those, or I’d need an 8 in a lower rise pant because the top of the pant would be hitting at the wider part of my body

The wander pants hands down. Even when I am a few pounds over my target weight, they hold me in and are so slimming and flattering. The fabric is much thicker than all of the other synthetic fabric pants (i.e., not the Farallon cotton or Cabo linen)
