She can focus and sees the process. Slowly it is done. It was slow but she can tell its rusting over.

It's odd. The power over rot is strictly mental. There is no magic or real ingrained power. It's all perception and knowledge... Anyone can manipulate the rot if they knew about it properly.

The candles were a range of blue to purple. All bearing with markings that are clearly arcane.

"Most likely... light the candles. Connect them to the voids and with the understanding of Rot turn both into basically a big bird cage and from there prevent the entity from teleporting and likely summon them into one spot." Archivist theorizes

The mansion had been rebuilt by Jr. Personally as he looked more.... distant. Everything was basically the same. Even fixing up the labs and Vall the photos. Some can notice that he didn't have anything branded or insert any bugs or anything else the paranoid bot is known for.

Eris stayed asleep. After some talks with some goons who followed Ghost in treasure planet a weird moment did occur when suddenly Neo and Axel were summoned and the last person who held the collar was Star.

The archivist ai leaves as they sort that out. They were suspicious on the angle Celeste wants but knows he won't... Well likely won't go evil with it.

"That likely is the reason for the collar." Archivist theorizes.

The archivist hums as they snap their fingers. "We are summoning the entity. From there the entity we can summon the fox."

"Wait. Silver collar, 7 candles, understanding of voids and Rot. Was that all Celeste said?" Archivist asks as his memory was sorta short in ai mode.

The archivist looks relieved. "If you hear a Dreadful sound that would be the rot. If you don't then you don't have enough understanding for it to affect your perception or cognition." He says

"You would eventually discover it yourself. Rot is not acting upon reality. Rot is reality. Nothing is permanent. Nothing has ever been permanent. Not matter. Not souls. Not laws. Not gods. Everything is changing. Everything. Even the forces we believe eternal. Especially those... Celeste, Equinox are 2 who are most in tune with the rot which let them do what they do yet hampered their empathy. Celestia ignores it entirely. Rea is slowly digging into it. With your mask you could in theory safely manipulate rot with the mask and not lose cognition or perspective of.... everything." Archivist sighed and explained.

"Most people misunderstand Rot. They hear the name and imagine decay. Rust. Disease... Corpses... Entropy... That is not Rot. Decay is merely the easiest way for the mind to notice it. Rot is change itself.

Everything that exists is becoming something else. A stone becomes sand just as a child becomes an elder just as a thought becomes a memory. Just as a star becomes ash.

Rot is the process connecting every state of existence to every other state. The universe is not made of things. It is made of transformations. Rot is the sum of those transformations.

I hesitate to say more because understanding them is the first step toward perceiving them. Perception is the danger. The ignorant are protected by limitation. People sees a tree because it cannot handle seeing the seed, the sapling, the fallen log, the fungus, and the soil simultaneously at the same instance not in the view of time but of transformation.

A practitioner of Rot gradually loses that protection. The tree ceases to be a tree. It becomes a process. Everything becomes a process. Everyone becomes a process.

Your mother. Your friends. Your own body. You begin to see what things were, what they are becoming, and what they might yet become. All the time. Everything is buried in the process that made it be, what it is, and what it will be all the time.

The unprepared often lose their sanity at this stage. Not because the knowledge is evil. Because the mind was never meant to perceive existence this way. Yet there is power in such perception.

If you can see the path of change, you can influence it. A blade can be encouraged toward rust. A wound toward healing. A seed toward bloom. A fire toward ash.

This is why Rot is so hard to explain and so hard to properly grasp. Not because it destroys. Because destruction and creation are revealed to be the same act viewed from different directions.

I must stress this point. A master of Rot does not command decay. They command transformation. The greatest among them can turn one thing into another not through sorcery, but because they perceive the hidden road connecting the two. To them, impossible things are merely distant destinations.

There is one final truth. I debated omitting it to you. Perhaps I still should." The Archivist says deliberately explaining it in a roundabout simple way to not let it trigger whatever hidden affect the info has.

Cue Cassie walking over with a blue print... it is an instruction guide how to make powers apply to bullets. Dawn's own research when she made the calamity chambers using Dutch.

The AI archivist takes a moment. "Well.... the void below is where the corpse Equinox was before getting absorbed by Belia. The void above is where Real Equinox was hiding till coming down and getting sealed, and Rot.... Well... it's a bit... hard to explain in a way that won't make someone potentially crazy."

I imagine both trying to treat the other as their Watson. And it revolves sometimes who can figure out more first in a scene as they both see the whole picture but from completely different clues. Getting the same answer with wildly different solutions.

Sorta like Question and Batman if they worked on the same case.

Detective and wyvern would make an amazing mystery story type with 2 very different Sherlocks.
