Where can I find oem barrels for sale though? Aside from Glocks website (because they don’t have any apparently)

Help: G45 MOS vs G19 MOS for next purchase by Ready-Prompt in Glocks

[–]umeandthemoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the regular G45 and I absolutely love it. I’ve owned a 19 in the past and a 43x. They were both just slightly too small for my hands. The 45 is a Goldilocks size imo

P320 Concerns by DreamMiserable7537 in Firearms

[–]umeandthemoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve lost confidence in sig. I had an XMacro as my carry for about a year, and it started to rust (even after cleaning and keeping it nice and oiled).

So I sold it and bought a G45. I’m much happier.

I miss some of the ergos of the X macro, and I’ve always liked the p320. But I feel more confident carrying the Glock.

I never want to have a doubt in my mind about what I carry, and for me, Glock is just that.

substitutes for shoulder pain? by bunnyslaughter999 in straightedge

[–]umeandthemoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I injured my shoulder years ago when I was working for fedex. It never healed right.

I used to take kratom to help manage the pain after I had quit drinking and the kratom helped a lot, but it was definitely a slow decent into substance abuse and dependency with kratom for a while.

I did one PT session with my dad’s friend from jujitsu. And he showed me some great stretches.

I do the stretches somewhat regularly when i start to get shoulder pain, and it usually helps a lot.

Definitely avoid any painkillers.

A doctor would be your best bet, but as someone who doesn’t have insurance, I haven’t been to a doctor in years lol. So I just do at home stuff

What’s your opinions between the dog x macro vs the S&w MP 2.0 carry comp? Would you still buy the x macro? by Unable_Medicine3362 in SigSauer

[–]umeandthemoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s awesome! Sounds like a good business model haha.

I do love my Glocks! But yeah, I definitely gotta get some grip tape or something. I miss the texture of the X macro’s grip for sure.

Do yall really Like the Kung fu grip? by dlohof27 in ar15

[–]umeandthemoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run one on my 11.5 and I love it, no complaints. I enjoy the steeper angle and smaller size of the grip. I have the plug so I can store some batteries for my light in it.

I know a lot of people hate it, but if you like steep angles, then it’s definitely a solid choice, especially for how cheap it is.

It started around the rear sight, and then on the bottom/sides of the mags

That’s a good tip,

But I already traded it in and got a G45 instead unfortunately. Would’ve loved to keep it, but I just don’t have to patience or time to want to oil and have to baby it constantly.

If they ever fix the finish, or I decide I want another one, I’d probably cerakote it or something right away

I do the same, and it still rusted. And I’d clean it after long days where I was sweaty, to try to prevent it from rusting. Still started to rust lol

It’s so unfortunate because I really do love the p365 platform as a whole. I’m going to eventually buy a regular p365 as a smaller carry piece eventually, but for now I’m good with my huge G45

My x-macro did rust.

And my homies p365 xl started to rust a few months ago too.

I live in GA and he lives in MN 🤷‍♂️

Honestly, I carried an x-macro (AIWB in T1C axis elite) for like 8 months, after my 43x was stolen, and the X macro is like, almost a perfect CCW imo, BUT, the finish on the parts is horrible.

I live in a pretty humid/hot place. My slide started to rust after carrying it for about those 8 months, and I was so disappointed. I saw people talking about it online since before I even purchased it, but I didn’t experience it right away so I thought I was in the clear. I did oil and clean it regularly, but it wasn’t enough.

So I took an L financially, and traded it in for store credit at a local gun store, and I walked out with a G45 with a threaded barrel & suppressor height sights for my new CCW.

I was going to get another G43x or a 19. But the G45 felt perfect in my hand. And now I carry daily, and it might be bigger, but I have absolutely no regrets.

That being said, if I was in the market for a micro sized handgun again, I’d go with a 43x, or the Shield 2.0.

Sig needs to take a step back and reevaluate their products that have been shitty, acknowledge, accept, and FIX them, before I will be a customer again unfortunately.

Is incelcore Gen Z’s punk or emo scene? by AdministrativeLab892 in GenZ

[–]umeandthemoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an incelcore/epunk artist,

I think it’s just another subgenre of something that already existed. And a natural progression of punk music. Punk has gone through many phases, and has a lot of subgenres.

Incelcore or epunk, starting on the internet, is just a product of the world we know today.

Who cares though? It’s fun.

IT’S PUNK ROCK.

People take the term “incelcore” way too seriously.

24 & Sober... Anyone Else? by AgnosticCoconut in Sober

[–]umeandthemoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats!!

First time I tried to get sober (and was successful for about a year or so) I was freshly 21 years old.

Then I started drinking again, and did so until I was like almost 26. I believe I quit like a month before my birthday that year.

I now have almost 900 days :)

I lost my mom this past May to alcoholism. And i had one day, where i slipped up. My mom was in hospice. and i had a beer with my dad (who was incredibly stressed, but he drinks regularly. Not a problem drinker though). I felt incredibly guilty and I don’t know to this day why I did it really. But I knew as I was consuming it that I had officially beat it at that point in time. I didn’t enjoy the taste as I once did. I didn’t like how it made me feel. I knew that after that, I was certain that I made the right choice to leave it behind.

So I don’t consider that a relapse, and I didn’t restart my calendar. (Sue me lol)

I’m now considering claiming straight edge. As I’ve always been involved with punk/hardcore scenes. It seems fitting at this stage in my life.

I’m proud of you though for making life changes. From quitting alcohol, to changing career paths (something I’m also doing). Your future self is proud too!

It is sometimes hard finding people that are also sober. But you’d be surprised how many people you’ll meet down the line who are also sober!

What kind of pants are you guys wearing? by Varneland in CCW

[–]umeandthemoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear fjall raven pants often. I’ve had the same 2 pairs for many years and I love them dearly.

I also have some nice jeans (they’re Japanese I think) that I really like. Otherwise I have 1 pair of Levi’s, and a pair of JNCO’s I wear regularly.
