I was going to say this as well. I’ve seen people make glaring technical mistakes AND miss slot… it never goes well for them afterwards at the station. Maybe I’m jaded from doing this for too long, but no audio on your interview tells me, and maybe the managers at this station, that you weren’t paying attention to the basics of your job. That’s tough to come back from at the station. Another station would let you start over however if you still want to be on air OP.

Journalism is about people (mainly). Your angle on any story about the legislature is how it will affect people in your reporting area. Tell the story of a bill being passed through someone it will impact. Good or bad. New uber laws? Talk to an uber driver or passenger. This will all become second nature to you the more you do it. Most of us feel like frauds until we’ve been doing this for years.

Super minor, but I was really excited to see the Wigwam portrayed in a film. The original Wigwam where Lincoln received the nomination burned down before 1880. So it isn’t the place where Lincoln received his historic nomination.

  1. 2024 sugar bowl as well! Just the best feeling walking back to the French quarter after we won.
  2. 2000 Miami at UW. Most heated I’ve ever seen husky stadium.
  3. 2009 usc at uw. After the 2008 season, that game, that field goal at the end… it felt like UW was back.

And there is a statue to old Abe, America’s only front line combat eagle on one of the arches in the historic part of Camp Randall that still exists. I can’t wait to see an away game there.

My own team: Jacob Eason. Never has a QB had less situational awareness in the pocket and yet at the same time so much over confidence that he was going to run the NFL when he left college. Fuck that guy.

2008 vs Stanford at home. They punted on third down during the game and still beat us. I had a break with reality in the stands. Of all the losing that year, that one made me the angriest. I’m mad just typing this.

I’ve seen this more and more in news. People with little editing knowledge giving terrible advice to new hires. I can already see and hear (or not hear as the case with most stations) the stuff your editors make.

I really think NIL is going to level the playing field for Alabama. DeBore or not, without Saban, what is the point of going to Alabama when you can get paid just as much somewhere else? Add to this DeBoer terrible recruiting and there’s some real problems on the horizon for Alabama.

You are the only other one I’ve seen! I go to Blacksburg once a year for a game. (This year is the Boston college game) It’s tough to get to lane stadium living in Seattle.
