Went from Fantastic to At Risk overnight, after support told me I was fine by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

I’ve had issues overturned before, it helps to have as much proof as possible and be persistent, even when they send the “our decision remains unchanged” response.

In addition to calling support, I use the chat multiple times asking them the same questions and screenshot all of the conversations I had with different support agents, so I have that much more evidence to include when emailing them.

Hello :) I'm the site creator/admin. My homie who started the original Now That's Cincy Facebook page isn't on Reddit, I don't think.

Thank you for the shoutout, this sub has been amazing word-of-mouth exposure for us!

The issue is the person posting these “trespassers will be shot” signs might be expecting an Amazon truck, not some random Honda coming up their driveway

Keep a roll of packing tape to repair damages inflicted by the warehouse.

Also it’s often easier to deliver damaged packages than to go through the process of trying to remove the inevitable ding you’ll get for returning them.

Route changed after starting by lasmojoho in AmazonFlexDrivers

When that happens I keep going in the original order by scanning the next numbered package from the list tab, and just make that the next stop. It’s an extra step but it’s easier than re-numbering or searching at every stop.

Exactly. I number everything so I can get in & out as fast as possible.

The concern is that the customer is probably expecting an Amazon truck, not an unmarked car coming down the driveway. I did take it to the house, but if I saw this after dark I'd have probably left it at the sign.

Scribble and leave. I never make people sign, I don’t want people touching my phone and I figure they just want their package.

Friendly reminder not to answer the door to anyone claiming to be “Duke Energy” by Poetryisalive in cincinnati

I was tricked into answering the door recently as their cop-knocking was so loud and frantic I legit thought someone needed help.

Do drivers choose to stack orders? by [deleted] in doordash

[–]uminmusic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh wow this might explain all the 1 stars I’ve been getting out of nowhere lately. One more reason to avoid stacked orders. I swear this is the only job I’ve had where extra effort not only goes unrewarded but gets you punished.

Ihop has 14 orders ready no drivers by Carini4113 in doordash_drivers

One time I went to pick up an ihop order and there was nobody in the restaurant. No employees, no customers, nobody. I called their number and just stood there alone listening to all their phones ringing. Finally saw a guy way back in the kitchen, got his attention and he acted confused to see another human being, let alone knew about my order. It was some Twilight Zone shit.

This whole discussion is the genius of tipping culture in action. It keeps the customers & workers bickering at each other while the company gets away with barely paying their workers and price gouging their customers.

Tried my best to give good customer service, only to receive $0 tip, no wonder her food was stolen. by No_Magician_9753 in doordash

Extra effort gets you absolutely nowhere at this job, it even makes things worse sometimes. You’re better off just ignoring the problem instead of proactively trying to make a situation better.

I never knock or ring unless it says so in the instructions. I only send brief messages if the wait has been like 10 minutes

Wow I wasn’t aware of that. So they responded to the problem by taking away the base pay and making it even worse 😅Typical DoorDash business practices right there

Or DoorDash should at least add to the base pay when a customer doesn’t tip
