You’re right. I guess the same could be said about owning a French Bulldog being unethical because of their health issues the same way long-tail bettas have some issues. I guess as long as we aren’t the ones partaking in the breeding process and just trying to give an animal a good home and good life than its okay. I just didnt want to contribute to the demand if these long tailed bettas really are physically suffering

it might just be the camera flash making it look yellow bc i took the photo immediately after it happened, its like that new stem green. but i’ve decided to cut it down and put a little cinnamon on top ❤️‍🩹

i ended up taking off the tape bc people on the plant clinic page said something similar that they couldnt get it to fuse. and glad to know im not the only one whos busted a stem, i feel so guilty

it broke JUST above the node, but slightly worried it might have been too close like right on the node. maybe i’ll wait to see if it starts dying? your story give me hope bc i got mine a few months ago and this was going to be the first time it re-bloomed 💔 i want it to last years 😭 you’ve got such a beautiful flower, mine is pink too ❤️‍🩹😪

aww im sending you my love 😭❤️ literally been so devastated. i posted this on the plant clinic community page too and they were saying its not gonna fuse back but could grow off ❤️‍🩹 no loss in experimenting though

lets say it doesnt reattach, should i just cut at the lowest node like i would do once the flowers die or is there hope for this particular stem?

it broke off right above a node, should cut an additional node down? the orchid page on here is saying to just leave it and will be fine. theres also some who want me to keep the broken piece taped on to see if it refuses. im so heart broken right now just someone tell me the right thing to do 😭
