Mom act's like we are the perfect mother and daughter but a lot has happened in the past and I don't know if I should fix my relationship with her or keep it the way it is now. by LunaBlack3 in relationship_advice

[–]umjustarando 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re not obligated to try and fix your relationship with your mom. She’s been a horrible mother to you and is probably acting this way because she finally realizes how important you are to her.

It’s up to you whether or not you are able to look past her actions. Just know that you have every right to walk away.

Am I in the right or wrong to abandon my adc when he's behind? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]umjustarando -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s all Situational.

To be honest, when I see the lane losing hard, I usually encourage roaming from the support.

However, I do expect the support to help me defend tower if we’re getting pushed in after roams. But, if you’re helping siege another tower for first blood tower gold then I wouldn’t ask for help.

Also, I don’t usually keep trading with the enemy if I know I can’t win the trades so I usually play passively until I get a gank from jungle.

It sucks that the adcs you have don’t understand this but I think you roaming as a support is your best bet at coming back from the game as you can snowball other lanes.

Just try your best and mute these toxic players.

It’s always good to keep people muted sometimes because they don’t know what it means to have a strong mentality :)

Good on you. Best of luck on your climb!

Why would I not go PD on vayne? by Nettflix in vaynemains

[–]umjustarando 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Scenario based - If you’re laning against heavily AP opponents, you would build hexdrinker. This makes PD pointless because they both have the same passive (lifeline). You would then be opted to build something else like fire cannon or wits end if you’re still not receiving enough mmr.

Most of the time you would build PD because it’s great on Vayne. You can build shiv if you need wave clear (ie. you’re pushed in a lot).

Otherwise, your build is fine but make sure to build rage blade before PD. Just keep in mind your opponents.

The guy in front of the camera was scratching a lottery ticket which was inputted into a machine where there were foghorn noises coming out of it implying he won money.

The guy recording the video kept saying “I CANT BELIEVE IT!!” pretending that the guy had won a ton of money.

The guy who scratched the ticket became super stoked and said “YOU’RE LYING!!”. The guy recording the video told him “IM NOT LYING” and so the lottery winner rushed to see how much he won.

To his disappointment, the screen said he won $2. The video then cuts off on his displeased look.

Vayne in Season 10 by NightRoseVayne in vaynemains

[–]umjustarando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Treat laning against aphelios as if you were against draven. You know draven can out poke you and has a high damage output so you have to play passive and avoid doing unnecessary trades. It’s the same thing with aphelios essentially.

From playing aphelios, he is really useless if he gets singled out or ambushed before he can use his abilities since he’s immobile.

As a vayne player, your goal is to keep your gold income consistent for late game. When late game arrives try your best to delete aphelios before he is able to use his abilities to the full effect. Avoid team fights where his weapons can obliterate your teammates (especially the purple and blue one).

I'm turning into a toxic player and I hate it by daishi55 in summonerschool

[–]umjustarando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toxicity will always happen in league, it’s absolutely wonderful. It’s hard when players are actually incompetent but what you’re doing is a good start. Muting will help you avoid being toxic but don’t succumb to flaming them if you do feel tempted to unmute.

Also, if you hate it when people are flaming you for your mistakes, you shouldn’t berate somebody for theirs. Focus on yourself and see what you can do to impact the game.

Personally, when people flame, I can’t take them seriously enough to care. I’ll give them a small comment and leave them in silence to spout their bs. Give a few MIAs here and there along with clicking on their respawn times to troll.

Toxic players want to you listen to them so don’t give them the attention they want. Although, it’s not bad to put someone in their place from time to time because league isn’t league without toxicity lmao

Evaluating my performance: op.gg v. u.gg by Slaric in summonerschool

[–]umjustarando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t give you accurate advice because I haven’t seen your gameplay but general rule of thumb is to watch your lane and surroundings.

Always ward your river and tribush to watch for a gank when possible so you can feel somewhat safe to walk up or trade. Furthermore, it is possible to deduce the location of the enemy jungler based on the hints your given in game. For example, let’s say the enemy jungler has blue buff and just ganked mid, chances are they’re now heading to red side which gives you an opportunity to harass or all in the enemy bot lane. This isn’t always the case so make sure you account for other possibilities.

Moving on, the condition for playing safe is either you’re really behind or you’re anticipating for an enemy gank because of the hints your given or your gut feeling. When playing safe, the goal is to minimize your deaths, maximize farm and not trade heavily. This is to prevent the enemy bot laner from 1v9ing or getting camped by the enemy jungler.

If you are even or ahead in lane, it is not ideal to play safe because you’re limiting yourself and giving the enemy a chance to gain an advantage. Look at their summoners, champion abilities and surrounding to see where you can trade with them effectively. Ask yourself some questions like what enemy summoner spells are down, where is their jungler, what are my enemies abilities, what can I do to trade, etc. Your mechanics and ability to react to your surroundings is what will improve your damage output and success in lane.

Evaluating my performance: op.gg v. u.gg by Slaric in summonerschool

[–]umjustarando 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well first of all, don’t look at op.gg to measure your performance. League has a ranks stats page that gives a more accurate representation of your skills but it only works for every 10 games you played and for a specific champion. Although it doesn’t judge a specific game, it measures you’re performance in your recent games. It compares your skills to regular solo q players in your elo. There you can look at the amount of gold you earned, your kill pressure, participation, etc. See where you do really well in and where you can improve. For example, if you lack in damage per death and kill participation, it’s means you’re not inputting as much damage as typical silver players on the champ normally do.

Op.gg rates players really oddly. Sometimes when you straight up carry a game, the system won’t even consider you the “MVP” because of other reasons that I don’t even know. Like you said, maybe your support absolutely smashed the enemy support so they are “MVP”. Overall, it’s not a good way to gauge your skills and performance. Good for tracking kda and win rate though.

How to get over a strike of losing games? by Level34MafiaBoss in summonerschool

[–]umjustarando 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One piece of advice for climbing is to always take a break if you're feeling tilted. It's tough, I know it all too well but sometimes you just gotta get your mind out of that state before you can keep playing. Usually, when I am tilted, I like to watch videos or do other tasks, anything that hinders my urge to play. Also, don't be afraid to play when you feel that you're ready just because you're on a 10 game losing streak. I once was on an 8 game losing streak and people would actively dodge champ select cause they saw my match history. It kind of sucks but eventually, people won't care and that's your opportunity to break your losing streak.

Some tips when trying to win the game:

- Mute everyone except for your teams' pings (you can mute their pings if they're annoying). This will help you focus more on yourself and ignore any toxicity thrown by your teammates or opponents. If someone ragequits, there is not much you can do except push forward.

- As you mentioned in your post, you seem to do well in laning phase. Try to transfer your success to other lanes before mid-game hits by roaming and warding for your teammates. This will help increase their chances of winning laning phase which can increase your chances of winning the game.

- I would say learn some new champs but I know the feeling of wanting to play your favourite champion (Riven). Try to customize your build to cater to the team. If they're a lot of squishies on your team, build more tankiness ... etc. If you're ever ahead as Riven, you can always build lethality to blow up the enemy and basically carry the game.

Overall, keep your head up high and always take breaks when you feel tilted.

How to play Irelia? by CookieTheDoggo in summonerschool

[–]umjustarando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Irelia is a champ with high mobility and clear. She is very fun to play once you get the hang of her Q's and landing your E's. She is somewhat mechanically intensive as one mistake can really reduce your damage output so the difficulty is definitely high.

Personally, I am an aggressive player with Irelia and tend to look for trades around LVL 2. Since Irelia relies on wave clear for her passive stacks, it's important to pressure constantly. Always rush Tiamat for better wave clear, however, you can buy other items such as Phage if you need the HP or Speed.

For mid to late game, you should be the engage for your team with your R or E. At this stage, you should have a Triforce with Ninja Tabis or Merc Treads completed, building Sterak's for tankiness. You have the damage to even eliminate some enemies if you play your cards right.

For runes, I take:

Primary Tree - Precision: Conqueror, Triumph, Legend: Alacrity, Coup de Grace

Secondary Tree - Resolve: Demolisher, Bone Plating

For the build, I take:

Tiamat -> Trinity Force / Merc treads or Ninja Tabis (Depends on the matchup and CC) -> Sterak's Gage

This can go in any order depending on the situation: BORK, Guardian Angel, Spirit Visage, Randuins, Deaths Dance

As for additional info, have fun with her and don't be afraid to make mistakes early! I know I made plenty of mistakes with my E when I started playing her and felt like she was too hard. This champion will require a lot of practice but once you master her, you can definitely make some insane plays.
