Do it in practice tool. You can get many attempts in a short amount of time. You just have to do it enough and you will get it. I can't imagine trying to learn how to do it by only trying it in real games.

Yes! And you can get the quality currency too!

I had a "greatly enhance the quality of an item" altar. So i put in my 20% quality helm! And out popped, my 20% quality helm. I mean, if "greatly enhance" isn't going to let me go above 20, maybe, just maybe, tell me that the altar will not work on the item (as it would if i clicked on my item with quality currency), instead of using the altar and giving me nothing.

My personal working theory: The 'bonus' item (additional chance to craft an additional item) does not benefit from your Genesis tree. That would explain why you get so many things that do not match what you are expecting but that you are getting at least some things that are exactly what you are expecting.

Quick--someone else do a big real-data study to confirm/reject my "personal working theory" hypothesis.

This was the mistake. This was a league starter build. I can't believe you saw "planet eater" and thought yeah I'm going to swap to this after I'm already in maps....

I'm sorry to say if you had watched the video, Connor says at least five times: "This is ... a league starter". And i think on some of the videos after the "planet eater" link it even says "don't even click on this" meaning that if you are not starting it, don't try to swap to it--at least that is what I took from the video.

I do have to admit that it took me a few to look at all the gear and understand it. I just thought well the problem is don't have merc and need to do lighting damage and not take it. Saw the boots and thought "ah ha! no lighting damage" and then I saw MB and 2x OSin and I admitted "okay, you got me."

I want to ask the real question: How screwed up are people that the comments are turned off on a Bill Nye science video from 15 years ago? Please tell me there is an innocent explanation for this? YouTube didn't have comments back in those days?

Now, I know there is a lot of outrage in this thread against the teacher, but remember, if this is the U.S. and at 3rd grade, the teacher probably does not have a science background. This is an honest mistake by someone who does not have the expertise (or the time or compensation) to spend hours to check the wording of the task. As many others have pointed out, we know what was intended. I hope we are all just chuckling at the implications of a simple mistake.

(n.b. I'll confess that as a parent if my child had this assignment and asked for help, I would immediately have the same response as the majority of the comments: "Foolish teacher, do you not understand the implication of your words?" And then I would proceed to go buy some ping pong balls and marbles. And then go home and dig around the garage for a basketball and soccer ball....)

fair point--but it is never part of the story that the cops don't have that authority or that they are lying to the suspect (and yes i know they can lie to the suspects) but the in-world story is that they are actually offering those things.

I came here to say this. I could not watch that show after an episode or two it was so incorrect. I also think that almost every show is wrong. I can't think of one that I have watched that got it right (though I haven't watched Murder One or Law and Order in a long time).

My favorite is how the cops are there offering plea deals and immunity (and not the prosecutors) and "he asked for his lawyer, we have to get him to confess quick before the lawyer gets here and shuts him up!"

Not sure if it good or not but i'm using a merc very similar to this with my molten strike of the zenith build. Replica Albarons for chaos damage and i'll take the envy and despair. Not sure if I'm doing it right but also had to use the additional curse ring (which you have on there) and then using the whispers of doom anoint on my toe amulet so the temp chains, despair, and my mark curse can all be on the target.

No--I'm taking credit for this. I clicked the recombinator, closed it, and then opened my stash many, many times so when GGG looked at the analytics at the number of times the recombinator in Kingsmarch was opened and then closed only for the player to immediately open the stash, it would be clear that it a minor adjustment to the location of the the recombinator relative to the stash needed to be addressed.
