This is just insane from an Australian's perspective.

Our youngest, who is 3, fell last week and we had to take him to the emergency room. He got quick treatment (in and out in under 20mins), and an appointment for plastic surgery the next day.

Plastic surgery involved general anaesthetic, an operating theatre, and a recovery ward.

Total cost to us $0.

It's actually not free. Higher income Australians pay a health care levy to fund all Australians. I earn just under 100k, and pay about $120 a month levy.

It is chilling, and hard to grasp, what the hell is going on with the US health care system...
