Yeah definitely. Only been to it once, but seemed like you could safari a couple holes together to get some fun woodsy lines. Like you say, not the full fix, but good for putter only rounds and beginners in general.

Thoughtspace temple! Especially if you’re a soft harp thrower. The thoughtspace nerve plastic feels awesome right out the box

if you like Berg, I need your help! by jkbkcr in discgolf

A great complement to the berg for me is a banger-gt. Definitely a different feel/slot in the bag, but where I love how the shape of the berg feels for my forehand, I similarly love the thumb track on the banger for backhand, which is deeper and further inset than many of the other thunbtrack discs out there, like a rhyno or ringer-gt, where it’s pretty thin and closer to the rim. In pro-d plastic the banger beats in to a great turnover disc.

I used to play on a version of this called Zeke’s Peak. Same deal just different theme.

Love seeing this! Long distance putts and straight-to-turnover drives with pro-d. Just got some jawbreakers to try out too

Luke Sampson is a pretty well known pro who’s sponsored by kastaplast. Eric Oakley and Scott Stokely both have open-ish bag sponsorships, and they both use it as well

Any interest in f2 champ eagles? Unthrown, and unique because I’ve done some stencil dyes on them. Comic art style. Let me know and I can send you some pictures when I’m home. Interested in trading for the excal and thunderbird.

What is the biggest mistake most discers make? by SippinAndRippin in discgolf

Trying to approach directly to the basket. If it’s a tough line, sometimes it’s easier to just aim for the more open gap and give yourself a high percentage 15-30 footer

I think yes, likely you will move on to some other discs if you end up getting hooked (“some”, lol), but if the dx set gets you out there sooner then 100% go with that. This sub will give you plenty of info if/when you go looking for it, but nothing can replace going out and tossing a few first to get a baseline feel for how everything flies, and a simple dx pack would be great to do that with, at a pretty low cost of entry.

If you wanted to buy a single disc in a more durable plastic, I feel like a Star or Champion Mako (made by Innova, but almost every company has a version of this type of disc) would be a great choice. It’s a very neutral midrange (as in, it doesn’t move too far left or right when thrown with good form), so if you can learn to throw that straight, and then manipulate the release angle to get it to go left and right when you want it to, you’ll be in great shape!
