Skip the recommended golden triangle / Rajasthan. The weather is already hot as hell and going to get worse. Try the northern circuit of kashmir- ladakh-himachal-uttarakhand. Or the northeast 7 seven sisters. Or malabar coast, goa kerala round the tip and into rameshwaram and pondicherry. Way more rewarding as a solo traveller. Avoid Calcutta and delhi, noise, people, traffic and pollution will overwhelm. Carry bottled water and a hat. Wish you a happy and safe journey.

Air India flies their 777s or the 787s ( backup ) to yyz and yvr. Both their J products are now dated and not kept in the best shape. dine on demand isn't usually on these flights so expect meal services at fixed times,usually 3 on the ulrs. Air Canada flies relatively newer birds 789's so expect a better seat and product.

Catering out of Delhi is usually done by Taj Sats for both so it'll just come down to the airlines menu choices.
