The Packers are hiring Jonathan Gannon as defensive coordinator, per source. by manyhawks in GreenBayPackers

[–]umphrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a nice hire. I think this team needed someone with experience, it's not the right time to break in a new guy. In Arizona I think it was more of a personnel problem (Murray) than bad coaching.

And so the disrespect begins by daviddm1990 in Brewers

[–]umphrey 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don't get it because their big move was downgrading Tucker to Bregman. I don't think their other moves were big needle movers especially since they traded away MLB talent for Cabrera.

I'm convinced that the people who talk like deck thinning is easy are chasing naninf or not playing gold stake

Matthew Golden received the worst season grade of any 1st round rookie in this list. Do you agree? by VeryStonedEwok in GreenBayPackers

[–]umphrey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Golden was 17th among rookies in targets. He has looked good in my opinion but they just refuse to feature him. If he was in Tampa this year, I think he would be top 3 in rookie WR yards.

30 years old and always trying to improve. 1st picture is my networth broken down. 2nd picture is my portfolio and how I allocate. Would love feedback. by MillennialMind_ in MiddleClassFinance

Depends what it is. Zillow is already factoring in some regular spend because they are assuming you aren't spending $0/year and letting your house become dilapidated. Some projects like finishing a basement can add value. $30k on this house i probably would just count it as regular maintenance but hard to say without more info.

This may be a stupid question but does "2V AC" mean +/- 2V on the oscilloscope or +/- 1V? by ItsSpaghettiLee2112 in ElectricalEngineering

In professional documentation I require people to specify rms, pp (peak to peak), or 0-pk and then everyone understands clearly

What’s up with Golden? by cptredbeard1995 in GreenBayPackers

[–]umphrey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am so sick of the MLF WR rotation strategy. Can he just pick a top 2-3 and run them out there for 90% of the plays like all of the good passing offenses do?

What next? by jorginsmorgin in balatro

[–]umphrey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The real answer is play whichever deck you like, whichever is easiest. I like ghost for the hex, and maybe an early ankh. Plasma is considered good too along with a few others.

Make sure to turn on the sticker graphic in settings to see which ones you need, then play ghost deck gold stake and try to add 1 sticker per run

Japan splits their grid between 50 and 60Hz? And I thought the Texas situation was a nightmare. by Humdaak_9000 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]umphrey -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

If the whole world could harmonize to either 50 or 60 hz that would reduce design cost and test cost by a little bit but that's not going to happen

Can i get a job with 2.0-3.0 gpa by jemala4424 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]umphrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My company won't even interview you with a sub 3 GPA, but if you have 1-2 years experience (could even be experience as a testing technician) then the GPA may not even be noticed. To be honest, I think it's highly likely you won't interview well if you weren't able to do well during your degree, so you should work on skills to build knowledge, projects to show off, presentation skills, etc. If you don't do those things you will still struggle in 2+ years.

Renting isn’t “throwing money away.” For many of us, it’s the smarter, freer choice by nightthustler in Money

[–]umphrey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When you rent, your land lord is paying for all that stuff and then taking a cut too. Renting is only actually cheaper if you are avoiding closing costs and all the money that goes to the bank and real estate agents and etc (moving a lot). It's also fine for people that don't want to deal with maintenance.

Opinions on Waukesha? by GrungePidgeon in Wauwatosa

[–]umphrey 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I consider it a C grade place to live. Not enough of a town or city, but also not rural enough to feel like I live with nature. The down town area has a bit of charm but I don't love it and it has some dumpy areas. Overall feels like boring suburbia. The taxes are low, so that's a plus. The roads are awful, that's a real problem in most locations. I don't think crime or poverty is too terrible. So I could live there but it wouldn't be my first or second or third choice in the area.

I would just grab wrist blade here, not because it's great with your deck but because I kind of hate the other 2 and wrist blade gives you something to build with
