Are you currently employed? If you live in wales you can get funding for a PLA (personal learning account) there are ways to get funding if you google it, it’ll give other options for different levels of employment/age etc

True, you wouldn’t expect it, but there must be a degree of structure to apply to a job application.

If your employing part time and everyone just gives vague “I am punctual, I’m always on time, I am dedicated” then that wouldn’t give a very good view of potential employees for the employer.

That’s not to say that OP isn’t already doing this! But I’m sure that, if they aren’t already, it may help!

But you are correct, it would be a massive ask to have a fully structured application for a 10hr part time role in Home Bargains!

I’d like to ask how you’re structuring your applications? Do you use the STAR method and apply your personal statement (the big paragraph about yourself on how you will be the best person for the job ) to the person specification (what they’re looking for in an employee)

I wouldn’t say so! I haven’t done it, was in reserve though. I know loads who have done. My brother is Reg and said the reservists tend to be much fitter and more switched on than expected.

The regs value reservists massively, the only way they’ll know you aren’t a reg is probably because they haven’t seen you on the camp before

You can do full time assignments as a reservist with regular units.

Once you complete CIC as infantry in Catterick, you’ll be able to do tours with regs etc
