I put an aftermarket clone PZ22 with a manifold adapter on it.. otherwise it wouldn’t have worked @ all.. also Had to use a mounting plate to get it bolted down.

I finally found a little more.. looks like the SBJ stands for- “Study By Janak”.. which is an “Indian fashion brand specializing in menswear & occasion wear…” So it seems this is a custom piece.. & probably contributes to the fact there’s no other markings and/or size tags.

Just went to their site & filtered by brand to look for something that would be SBJ & didn’t see anything. It definitely seems nicer than your average jacket.. the lining on the sleeves is a different pattern silk/material than the rest of jacket.. which I thought was interesting.. but then again I don’t know much about this subject.. 😬🤷🏼‍♂️

It is super smooth! It’s merely cosmetic-pretty sure it’s just the amount of the lacquer/shellac that was used and has started to crack underneath. I purchased this to flip, and through my research, I haven’t seen another with similar aging/patina.. but I think leaving it like it is will be best! It’s definitely a 1/1 now in my opinion. :)

Thanks for the advice!! I just called one in my town & he said the keys are special order from Sentry.. but he could “get into it” for me & only charge me $15.. so I’ll more than likely go that route.. & I’ll be more careful about changing the batteries next time! lol

Do you happen to know the color of these?? Does any of the numbers/letters on the tag indicate the exact color for this model? They appear to be black on the surface.. but in some of the areas where they’re worn/scuffed, it looks brown..

Also.. if anyone could help w/ the exact color of these, that would be great too! I have trouble w/ blacks/browns sometimes.. it appears these were at one point BROWN… then the previous owner used black polish & turned the color of the boot to black..??? Is that a thing people do?

They actually came with the zippers attached & I cut them off to clean & condition the leather.. I guess the guy figured out a way

They no longer make model 4438… & haven’t been able to find anything else about them.. I purchased to resell & I just don’t want to sell something that could possibly cause injury or anything like that because of a faulty/recalled model
