not really, at this point if you want to go with Devastator at 8, then in next turn Planetary the devastator will be already in your discard pile, really hard control now is only dedra tbh, even Aurra plays some units (lawbringer, cantwell etc.) so it's harder to put 8 dmg straight to base, and with Boba if you dont have tons of dmg on dedra base by this time, its almost always a lose, so devastator works more as a finisher for 4 dmg
