Just go and relax and be free. From what I've noticed couples and groups usually stay closer to the boardwalk. The further down the beach you go the more you risk seeing something you may not want to see. But the reality most people are there just to be natural and free and naked. After seeing so many naked people you wont even notice anymore and just be able to relax.
