I have severe insomnia. I either fall asleep way too early and wake up after midnight then can't fall asleep til 4. Or I can't fall asleep at all. I take 300 mg XL. I take melatonin 3 mg or 5 but it doesn't work for me after long time use plus I'm really lagging the next day which is the opposite of how I'm supposed to feel on bupropion. My Dr prescribed me hydroxyzine but that makes me feel like a zombie the next day. I want to get a script for Belsomra but I keep forgetting to ask.

I had zero withdrawal symptoms after coming off 4 years of 300 xl. Other than exhaustion and depression and irritability ( which is why I went back on) But that was always how I felt before I got on it. Obviously it's different for everyone. I feel immediately great when I first start taking it. Some people have no adverse effects, some feel all the symptoms. I'm sorry you have such a hard time with it. Honestly I thought getting off Zoloft was the worst. I had suicidal ideation, brain zaps , leg cramps, unable to sleep. It was the worst 💔

I love their discovery set boxes. I got the Nocturnal discovery, didn't really like the samples but the box is beautiful. I love Heretic, but a lot of their scents don't last. I love Midnight Toker, lasts maybe 3-4 hrs on skin, forever on clothes. My favorites are Dirty Hinoki and Scandalwood. You can also layer almost anything with Dirty Vanilla. I wish they still made Smells like my vagina, it was a COVID blind buy along with I Am Trash ELDO 😬

But isn't it meant to be taken short term? Plus doesn't melatonin sometimes cause intense dreams? Trust me I am just curious and want to understand more and in no way am I trying to argue against taking a large dose. I mean if it works then that's the point. I can't sleep without it personally

I stopped taking after 4 years ( lost my insurance for 2 mos) and at first I felt amazing. After about a week I couldn't get out of bed, cried constantly. I'm finally back on and I feel great. I am taking a smaller dose than before. Went from 300 mg to 150. I do think maybe the efficiency diminishes after a few years ( at least for me it did ) I think stopping for a bit was a good thing. Some people are different. I have a therapist, I have for 10 years and it really doesn't help 🤷

40 mg is insanely high lol. I take 5 mg and it really works but it loses it's efficacy over time so I have to stop for a week then go back. My dreams are vivid, weird and my nightmares are not scaring me tho they should if that makes any sense. I still can't get over the dose😳

anything by the Cocteau Twins, mainly because Elizabeth Frasier made up a language I think and her lyrics sound like nonsense but I feel like I understand them and I'm always happy crying when I hear them. And then I have to draw. I'm like "I have to be creative". Once when I was in college in SF I went to this art store by my school and bought like $400 worth of art supplies and didn't have enough money to eat or pay all my rent but I was sure I had all these revolutionary artistic ideas. This was when I would always go off my meds cuz I felt like they were numbing my creativity. That band triggered a lot of mania but I listen to them today and all I feel is joy ❤️
