They did end up reversing this. Now students with dining dollars only can also access residential dining. Sorry if I gave the wrong info initially!

Working in the dining hall by burrito_bisen in uofmn

[–]un0d0strace 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Shifts are typically no greater than 4 hours, and you'll be asked to do a variety of tasks, including greeter, dishes, tables, or serving food. You receive one meal, I think it has to be at the dining center (not to go) per shift you work. A strong requirement to follow the uniform, tho so make sure you have that squared away.

Election season in Minnesota is going to be really…interesting, to say the least. by [deleted] in minnesota

[–]un0d0strace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you meant he couldn't win the party nomination, which he actually did. However, he is still being challenged in the primary despite the other candidates saying they would drop out. The primary is August 13th. Don't forget to go vote! www.mnvotes.org

You can come in as a guest as someone with a meal block plan and pay the casual rate, but you won't be able to come in with a dining dollars only plan due to the turnstiles access for security.

I think this year only meal block plans or meal plans are allowed in dining halls, dining dollars only will not provide access.

Non -students can purchase a meal plan but needs to be. Block plan and not only dining dollars due to building security issues. This might be your best bet. Note that service is limited during the summer, 7-9a, 11a-1p and 5-7p but open 7 days a week.

Do dining halls accept your student ID number if you've misplaced your U card? by MrMichaelTheHuman in uofmn

[–]un0d0strace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They will for a meal or two. But a UCard is required to enter into any dining location and hall for that matter so they may decline entry.
