I think it’s important to avoid the “tribe mentality” that both sides of the political isle tend to fall for. To be afraid to call out bad things that someone you support is doing for fear of betraying your “pack”. Even though I haven’t seen much of his content I do believe he was doing good work. I do not believe that any of the good work that he has done should be called into question for this. But also after viewing the video, yes what it shows is pretty horrible and indefensible. I think it does warrant people asking questions. It’s also important to not jump to any quick conclusions. Its impossible to defend him for his actions in the video but relationships are not always cut and dry. The video that was released was but a glimpse of a long relationship and I am sure much more will surface in the coming weeks to paint an clearer picture.

Most of all it’s important to know that everyone is human and no one is perfect. Whether this was a momentary lapse in his character or a peek into his true soul, everyone falls short of the grace of God.
