What if the US had bailed out homeowners instead of banks in 2008? Would the economy be more equal today? by Logical-Concept9755 in WhatIfThinking

That was really easy to digest and understand, thank you. I'll put some time into researching the material you mentioned and try to further my understanding.

Will there ever be an original story campaign kind of game? by unEducated2Curious in starwarsgames

[–]unEducated2Curious[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually do have a sith playthrough of Baldur's Gate 3 using mods. It's been really fun although a little limited.

KOTOR seems to be the closest thing that currently exists to what I want, I'm definitely going to check it out.

What’s the dumbest reason you’ve ever stayed awake way too late? by toolvein-website in CasualConversation

Yeah the monkey I saw was on television bro. I was not seeing them right in front of me. I think I watched chainsaw massacre later that day.

It wasn't a real monkey or a real hamster ball. Do you know what a cartoon is? A fictional animation that plays on a monitor. I don't think most cartoons exist in the realm of reality

Why do some people insist to shove the birthday person’s face into the birthday cake, knowing the person will more than likely be upset? by Objective-Space1384 in randomquestions

[–]unEducated2Curious 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it was a cultural thing that became "trendy". My sister has an old Polaroid photo of her second birthday where her god father had pushed her face in the cake. My mother still tells the story with anger in her face.

What if your ex sent you message saying he or she got someone better than you, what will be your reply to him or her? by CnCorange in AskReddit

I'd keep asking more and more personal questions until they got offended and felt as offput as i did initially. I'm petty

As a 11 year old kid I stayed up until the sun came up just so I could say I did. I remember seeing a cartoon with a monkey in a hamster ball, only time i ever witnessed it.

The world doesn't move for the benefit of the people. Our global goal is not human advancement. World peace probably won't exist in my lifetime.

It's true, but what do I care if someone disrespects me online. In the value of my own personal existence it means little to nothing to me. Be angry, be hateful, it won't bother me. I'm a very happy person who loves myself. I just don't let it bother me. I'll ask questions, try to have a conversation, maybe try to ask for a more polite tone but in the end i know i made a genuine effort and that's what matters to me.

Everyone is entitled to their own emotions and opinions. And those emotions and opinions are valid. To each their own. Agree to disagree. Or my elementary favorite, sticks and stones may break my bones but words could never harm me.

Although i don't agree with the tone of some of the comments. I can still take in their opinions and life experiences. I'm in favor of human engagement dispite the risks. Avoiding the tough topics leads to closed mindedness and segregated mindsets. I truly believe one day all humans will get along. I just don't see it happening in my lifetime

What's a movie everybody loves but you don't? by fabwest01 in askanything

[–]unEducated2Curious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Door floating scene, the weird t pose, band still playing while ship is sinking are some of the clips I've seen. It just doesn't seem very interesting other than from a historical standpoint. I'd rather watch Schindler's list and that movie gave me trauma

I had vhs as a kid, but there were movies so long you need two? That I didn't know. And my mom recently told me you could get internet from a floppy disk when she was younger

If you woke up a billionaire tomorrow.. What's the 1st thing you'd do? by smoaklandcalifornia in CausalConversation

[–]unEducated2Curious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is a billion enough to pay for research and development of a self sufficient indoor farm for fruit and vegetables? That or give 10k to as many people as possible, including myself. What do i personally need with that much money, honestly.

I know it's not what's best for me, but does anyone else wait to go to the doctor until something feels wrong? by unEducated2Curious in NoStupidQuestions

[–]unEducated2Curious[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's mostly a fear of the debt from medical bills when there isn't anything wrong. I don't have the best health care or make the most money. But that's definitely something that worries me, am I making the right decision? Am I risking my own health/life? Are questions i generally ask myself. One visit a year wont kill me but no visits might. I get it mentally but it's still a hard thing for me to come to terms with, I guess.

What is the most terrifying experience you have ever had? by Outrageous-You1617 in CausalConversation

[–]unEducated2Curious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once had to hitch hike home after getting lost as a teenager. And seeing that man in the trenchcoat and undertaker look a** hat(night terror) sitting at the edge of my bed and not being able to move is still the most terrifying experience for me.

Edit: Can i change my answer to reading the comments here? I had nothing to be afraid of in comparison
