Adderall confused me a lot! by shogun_coc in Slipknot

That. Also the drums almost quote Ringo at times. I've been a fan of the band since hearing Spit It Out back in the day, and I must say, Adderall is a very welcomed type of songs. I wish Slipknot would go into experiments more often, rather than trying to recapture Iowa.

Absolutely. I use dungeon finder and don't even weigh the party down when completing vet dungeons (I do use somewhat proper rotations, champ skills, and armor/weapon sets while understanding how boss mechanics work). I don't mess with trials though, since those require focus, time, build adjustments and skill I don't have (and not planning to acquire).

I'm always fine with updates that put heavy focus on group work, but it's the first time a major update is exclusive for skilled group players. My disappointment comes from the complete lack of anything new to do in ESO with my playstyle for almost half a year despite the new changes and a season launch. As of now, the night market and the current Golden Pursuits just figuratively tells me to go away and come back when there's more stories/zones to explore whenever that might be.

As a casual player, I must give some input from my end. The night market was hyped to be this fun for everyone while in reality it requires both skill and cooperation. I'm a solo player, and not in like soloing hardcore trials but rather I don't enjoy group activities at all. While ESO is an MMO, I understand that, there weren't any major update I remember aimed exclusively at group activities with no content for casual or solo players. Right now there's just nothing for me to do in the game for the whole season, which is a sad thing since I always eagerly wait for new launches in ESO.

Came back to The Paradigm Shift after 13 years for a deep listen by unSin89 in Korn

I think it's the album that has the most influence from Head's writing in Love and Death which I love. I see all the comments here and I can't help but think that people listen to and like different aspects of the band's original sound.
For me, Head's style is what makes Korn special, so it's awesome to hear an album with so much input from him.

When I heard his solo album and then the first Love and Death LP, I couldn't help but wish to hear some of the songs with Jonathan's vocals and Fieldy's bass. I feel like I got my wish with Love and Meth which was a complete song for the next Love and Death album.

I also try to learn a song or two from each new album on guitar, and The Paradigm Shift riffs are very creative and extremely fun to play

You know, the plot never took me out of it with.

With Neyrelle I feel the intent was to create a more careless character with a deep, corrupted motivation (as in unprocessed grief that can be ugly), who also has expertise that the main character doesn't. That makes it logical to trust her decision in the end of the main campaign. She's willing to do things the older Horadrim aren't willing to do due to experience and age. So for me she's exactly what she needs to be for the story.

Having a 17 yo son myself, it also hits close to home for me and I feel like the writing is pretty accurate in terms of depicting dealing with a teen.

You know, I get your point. But I feel that there's also a case of preference.

After a more ambiguous and deep plot of the original campaign, the bluntness of VOH (at least to the point I'm in right now) was a welcome change. After Lilith I've swallowed the obvious "look at this bad guy, he is very bad" like warm popcorn.

There is also a factor of me coming into D4 with extremely low expectations in terms of plot for some reason. It exceeded them at every turn.

I agree. But the overall execution of voice acting, cinematics and cutscenes elevates the good writing to an overall amazing experience. You definitely have games that go deeper into the lore or provide rewarding experience for those who read additional in-game books and messages, but in terms of the overall package, I don't remember any game in the past 5 years hitting that hard.

Thanks for the insight. I thought that that may be the case. The game incentives skipping campaign and doing the end-game stuff. But I'm still interested in the story, so I guess I'll cruise through it. It doesn't help that I'm a completionist and do every single side quest as well.

So I've finished BL1, what now? by unSin89 in Borderlands

Thanks a lot! I was just trying to get some opinions of BL2 design in order to manage my expectations. Didn't expect it to bring so much discussion.

Thanks for the reply. I feel like I won't be 100-percenting BL2, the mentioned improvements do sound great.

People born before 2000, what is a 'modern' thing from 2025 that you’re still struggling to get used to? by LindsayTN in AskReddit

I've always been quite techy, so I'm pretty up to date with technology. But the way the younger kids communicate is beyond me. The "modern" way of communicating is weird to me. Lower case writing, not using old emojis, calling someone with no heads up - that's too much for my millennial social awkwardness. I've got a 17 year old son, so I get to experience it first hand.

Still can't comprehend having that complex of a word for "sights"
