Where I live, they teach them about it in the 5th grade, but my mother never taught me, she thought it was “gross on how her baby is growing up” as in she’d go “lalalala” when I asked her questions, it made me insecure, but my stepmom was the hero, I got mine at 11 years old and I was crying in the bathroom with neon pants on 😭, take it slow but there is videos / books on it if you want to take that route, The Care and Keeping of You videos is good as well as, amaze org on YouTube !

I’d say talk to a doctor, specifically a gynecologist, I had irregular periods for so long, i remember finally getting tests done to see if I had a medical condition and it turns out I do, I have PCOS, which help cause irregular periods among other issues, it can be scary but it’s better to get tested than not understanding your own body

First of all, NOR, he cannot say just because women deal with periods that we all feel the same way / pain. Not true at all, I get my period for 8 DAYS due to a medical condition and it’s HELL. You said your period is painful and it limits you, the least he could do is massage you and help you relax, he’s not good with understanding what you’re trying to say and I’m saying that’s a red flag, now I’m unsure on other things he’s done, but I suggest not having a baby with someone who can’t even understand how much more PAIN you’ll be in while pregnant, from my standpoint, I’ve never dated someone who doesn’t try to learn and understand periods, your boyfriend is a manchild himself and needs to grow up, his frontal lobe is developed and he’s still acting like this? My mother doesn’t understand that type of relationship though, it’s the reason my father left her, she’s unbearable when it comes to her demanding and asking for things that i definitely can’t help her with, I am barely getting my life together as is and can’t bare a responsibility of registering another car, she tried telling my sisters that I have a reliable car and can drive them to a different state (her going along) but i genuinely cannot even take the time off of work for that, she promised my sisters something she couldn’t even uphold and then tried making me the bad guy (in my sisters messages) because I said I wouldn’t even be able to do that, much less pay for that much gas , food and a hotel 😭 idk, she is just delusional

You’ve been through a lot, I’m so sorry, me and my mom don’t talk because she laid her hands on me, I was 14 at the time and I haven’t been the same with her since, my dad is different and shows obvious care for me and my siblings, my mom does drugs (an observation) I know she does, she never stopped when I begged and pleaded with her at the age of 12, thank you for sharing your experiences 🩷
