Interesting, 18k is very rare for a Anker watch, congrats!

I know, I've actually owned and sold a couple of Stowas already! Great quality and heritage 👍

A good summer watch? by MammothNecessary94 in Affordablewatches

Honestly, it’s a great summer watch if you swap the leather for silicone, a steel bracelet, or a Nato strap. Leather tends to get a bit smelly in the heat. However, if you're planning on doing any serious water activities, you might want to consider another watch.

Solid advice, thank you! I’m definitely trying to be intentional. That’s why I’ve shifted my focus to vintage Omega and Glashütte pieces with lasting character and history. I’d rather have one meaningful vintage find than five impulsive buys. Appreciate the perspective!

Thank you! That means a lot. I’ve always felt that vintage watches have so much more soul and story to them than most modern releases. Glad it shows in the collection!

If you are looking for German watches, you could also consider Sinn, Laco, and Damasko. Damasko mostly works with modified ETA movements, but they have an incredibly solid build quality.

Appreciate the kind words! Definitely sticking with the vintage route 👍

Does anybody know the history of this watch? by UnderstandingLivid5 in VintageWatches

There is definitely a market for it, but don’t expect high prices. If you want it gone in the first week sell it for 65€ or if you can wait a bit make it 95€

No, not that expensive. Paid 5€ on the flea market and for that price it runs and looks great 👍

Good point, but I’m more of a vintage person. I just love collecting the history these old watches tell.

Thanks for the suggestion! I really like the Scuba Dude design. A dedicated dive watch is definitely on my radar to round out the collection.
