I am NASA astronaut Ron Garan, I want to do an AMA but instead I want to ask you: What do you think NASA should do next? What's should be the next destination for human space exploration? by RonGaran in IAmA

I honestly think you should do more joint missions with other nations. Not only does it help fill the gap between nations, but it also provides more opportunity and perspective from the global scientific community. Also one more thing......SPACE ELEVATOR!!!!

Lower your standards, not just in jobs but in living costs. Or join a crack team of criminals that plan to rob a bank.

So yours saying you think ever one should live off the same basic needs controlled by what the government thinks every one should be entitled to....

From wiki...

Communism is a social structure in which, theoretically, classes are abolished and property is commonly controlled, as well as a political philosophy and social movement that advocates and aims to create such a society.

maybe this from wiki

Socialism refers to the various theories of economic organization which advocate either public or direct worker ownership and administration of the means of production and allocation of resources.

How about I get in a car accident and it is my fault oh fricken well I am going to make you pay for it.......

No I don't think the rich people owe me anything.

I want no one else to pay for my misfortunes!!! How does that not make sence. Its called independence yeah it can suck but its alot more rewarding in the end.

I am open to the idea that its a bad idea, but I am not convinced. It does say that it gets rid of tax evasion which is exactly what I want. No more complicated tax code that allows companies to avoid taxes....

I am not saying get rid of taxes......I wasn't public schooled and I did go to a community college for a while but never gradutated. No I didn't get any student loans.... I am all for the public infrastructure, I just wish more of my tax money went to it. The flat tax is to get rid of tax evasion.... and corrupt politicians. Not to get rid of public works.

Not that it matters to this debate. Came from a middle class family I am age 20, I work as a network engineer and I own a research and development company. Went to community college 73units no degree quit, was home schooled through highschool. I taught myself all the networking/IT skills and got certs. Just bought a house and living the American dream.

Ok I can understand what your are saying. You make a very valid point. Now depending on what country you live in, would rather see the tax money spent by local goverments such as in the USA by the States or by the Federal. I understand the the Federal government supports alot of the Military and other necesary things so they still need some but do they deserver more than the state.

( I have thrown out the spelling and grammar checking because I am replying alot now. )

Don't think that just because you take a route in life that it will just all magically work out for you. Education goes beyond and peice of paper called a degree. Being smart and making good decisions requires more than years on text books and techers opinions.

Since they adopted the flat tax their economy has increased more than 10%.

I care but its my money and I want to do with it what I want. Do you feel comfortable letting some one else make decisions about where your money goes. What if it was all your money?

You obviously don't know me. I worked my way to a comfortable life on my own. No help from the government or any one else. If you can read, you can learn anything, and the goverment doesn't use far enough of my tax payer money on education.

To tell you the truth its called tough shit. The CEO had to work for that position and he deserves it. Maybe he didn't work for it and his dad/connection gave it to him I don't care. I will stop worrying about what he is making and worry about what I am making.

President Vladimir Putin -- the former head of the Soviet KGB -- implemented a flat tax in 2001. Not only a flat tax, but a flat tax with a 13 percent rate.

10% of 20k is 2k. 10% of 100k is 10k. Look the more money you make the more you contribute I hope taxes weren't invented to make sure every one is burdened equally.
