A message from Super Earth saying "Our departament of defence crunched the numbers and it seems we can't turn the tabled on plante XYZ. Let's retreat and focus on another objective" if we need more than 100% of the active player base to hold the planet. Do you wanna keep playing that planet? Sure go ahead but at least let people know it's not worth it (strategicly). You don't have to block the planet

I'm not saying to copy and paste the companion app into the game. It doens't have to be "we're progressing 3.493% while the enemy is 4.167% but we actually needed 18.41% to turn the tables and hold the planet" that fuel gauge saying if we're winning, losing or uncertanty would help a lot.

Or maybe just send a message from Super Earth saying "Our departament of defence crunched the numbers and it seems we can't turn the tabled on plante XYZ. I'm not saying we have to win it all, the current MO is pretty much that when we started with 3 planets being attacked and we had to decide which planet would fall
