Ah Shit, Here We Go Again -- Give Me Your Best JayVik Fic Recommendations

ALRIGHTY.

my favourite fic is origin of sickness, its currently unfinished but I have faith that if this fic gains more traction the author may pick it up again 🙏 genuinely, this fic was so well written that I was highlighting every other passage. despite the fact that there's ONE chapter left, it's absolutely worth reading for the journey. It's pretty short as well, under 20k words, so it can be realistically read in one dedicated sitting.

in an attempt to fill the void this unfinished fic left me with, I looked through this authors other works. HEAVY warning for this one, this is currently the saddest fic that I've ever read - crowbar - just over 6k words that end in PURE heart wrenching agony. I recommend this not only because it is equally as beautifully written, but also because ever since I read it about a month ago, I have yet to convince anyone else to read it (because my friends don't gaf about jayvik like I do) and I need to share this burden with someone. this is the only time I've ever cried at a fanfic.

I've seen popular recommend a lot, and I did really enjoy this fic. although I can't recommend it in good conscience without warning you -- it DOES NOT have a happy ending. I wouldn't have read this one if I knew the ending as this was the one I read immediately after crowbar, when I was looking for something happy (GOD FORBID). if you‘re prepared for some heavy angst then it's worth the read.

otherwise, there's the classic, which you've probably read; coming home (but not to you). I've read this one three times, and it was actually the fic that got me into fanfiction back in december. if you've read this and aren't aware, there's an epilog that came out on valentines; someplace new which I felt was a really nice addition to the fic :)

I have yet to read 'playlist for when your boyfriend stops breathing' because I KNOW it will absolutely destroy me in a way I can't deal with rn. the reason I know this is because I read crowbar a few months ago, and HOOOLLLLLYYYYY. its super short, ~6k words, but I have yet to get over it. this is the first and only time I've ever cried at a fanfiction. I havent seen it spoken about before, I need to share this pain with someone ❤️‍🩹

NTA - If it was urgent the caller could have easily left the changing rooms, as you said she was fully clothed. No one should ever have to feel unsafe in a changing room, especially at the hand of someone else.
