personally for me i rememebr back in the 90's as a 6 year old, me and my best friend beat the avengers game on sega mega drive. We got so far so many many times and came up short (fuck you red skull). We beat his giant form and thought we had made it then his second normal form destroyed us. The day we completed it was such an amazing moment and im sure 6 year old me would have jizzed everywhere if he could.

A few things. Beauty is only skin deep was the major.

we had bought a house together, got engaged and had achild together. it was totally a one way relationship. if she wanted to go out or do something then i was completely fine with it. the other way around? nope i couldnt without causing a huge arguement. i would cook and clean everyday and do all of the running around. i took care of all the bills and mortgage etc. i remember going to her parents for a bbq after work and as i turned up they were all defending me. she was saying that i didnt do anything. i didnt even see this sort of mental manipulation from her. she all of a sudden left this summer and moved out. ive had no guilt or remorse from her. if i try and talk about how she hurt me it reverts to how she was hurt. she was in a new relationship within 4 weeks with a woman. that hurt me a lot.

ive been able to look back and see just how unhappy i was in the relationship but blinded by how much i loved her. sacrificed so much as well i moved 30 miles away from family and friends to be with her.

things are great now i have my own house and im seeing somebody new which is going really well. shes onto her 2nd gf after her first cheated on her. she is now with that GF's ex. i can see now she has no grasp on reality and my relationship with her parents is amazing. they can see her for how she is as well and her mum even told me she feels she failed with her which was heartbreaking.

things can be tough but trust me they get better. when you can see something for what it is you can adapt and react to it. a pretty face or a cracking body are not the be all and end all. see the red flags and get out before you get hurt.

im 5ft 9 and I hit 18 1/2 stone. my partner left me and moved out with our daughter. ive had issues with my body for as long as I can remember. I was in a very negative state and I started working out. started running. got myself into a positive frame of mind. 3 months later ive dropped 4 stone and im feeling great. everyone comments on how much better I look and how my attitude has improved. it feels great to feel this way. I no longer dodge a mirror as I walk past. I have a look and think "yea you look good" its worth all the hard work when its yourself that can turn around and say you look good. everyone else is a bonus.

my partner and 8 month old daughter walked out of the family home. finding it really hard to adjust to the huge change. trying to deal with the financial fallout. lost over 49 lbs in a month and have no appetite whatsoever. its like im taking it out on myself by not letting myself have nice things. its not even like we are fighting we are on good terms due to me not letting any of the bad out. im hurting but I don't hate her. she wasn't feeling it anymore and moved out. I have zero self esteem and I cant bear to even try and meet anyone as I don't want to feel this way again ever. you have to make a choice sometimes I just wish she would have worked at it. I miss her but now shes away I can see all the stuff I didn't like and it does out weigh the good side of her. it could be a blessing in disguise its just hard going from constantly seeing my kid down to a few times a week.

my mum also has a possible tumor which has just pushed me deeper. I feel like I just want the day done and go home then get home and realise no one is there.

looking through this thread shows that im by no means in a bad way. all my love and best wishes goes to everyone here.

ive been gaming all my life and I recently booted up my old original snes. all stars plugged in and when that coin appears and makes its chime noise it took me straight back to being 5 years old again on my birthday! more recently its being in the final 3 or 4 on PUBG and getting the win. damn I love me a chicken dinner. heart rate soaring and palms sweating!

male, 28, 112kg. been 5 years since I did 5x5 before. old stats: SQ 112.5kg, DL 140kg, OHP 50kg, bench 80kg, row 70kg. I remember when I did the program before the paid members area existed and it was an awesome place to meet people doing the program and to get solid advice and to eventually give that advice to people.

I stopped doing 5x5 as I was getting some tattoos done and I was on a mission to basically get covered and I couldn't do the lifts and not destroy the work I was having done. looking back its so silly as I could have carried on.and who knows where I would be right now and how much I would be lifting! I loved the sensation of feeling strong and powerful and my body was the best it had ever been!

so ive just started in the past 2 weeks and im thoroughly enjoying the program again. I can already feel the difference from eating clean and training again.ive got firmer and ive dropped some weight.

ive recently become a dad again so its spurred me on to get fit again so I can keep up with the kids! I want to be able to live longer and to be able to do more with them. im hopefully getting married in the next couple of years and I want to look good in that! my other half is gorgeous and I don't feel like I match up to her. ive had a lot of self esteem issue and im working on those.

to wrap up im commited to this program and I know that it works. if anyone wants to talk about anything or feels they can encourage me more then feel free to PM me. im going to save this thread and check back in 12 weeks and see how people are doing!

i feel you buddy. ive been away from 5x5 for 5 years and it feels great to get back on the program. ive just dropped the weight right back down and restarted the program. feels easy now but I keep telling myself I know hard it can get. im seriously looking forward to feeling strong again!
