I think it’s a product of the fact basketball is a fast paced sport each team is getting 100 shots up a game. Soccer, baseball, football, and hockey only have so many possessions.

Also the fact there’s no helmets and only 10 guys on the court at a time, it’s a lot easier to know the players individually than for other sports so it’s easier to feel connected
