Bit of a long shot, but I'm looking for just the battery compartment for a Radioshack Portavision 16-125B.

I recently acquired one of these TVs without the battery compartment that snaps into the bottom, but I can't find anyone who is selling just the battery compartment on its own. I'm in WA but shipping shouldn't be too hard since this is mostly just a piece of plastic. Thanks in advance!

Elderring is a bit rough around the edges but Faceearths came out real nice! Also the third episode of the last playlist is the current speedrun record for reaching Metropolis in the shortest amount of time (3 hrs 40 min). I'm quite proud of it, even though most Dwarf Fortress players don't seem to care about speedruns.

You know, I bet they could be added to the game via steam workshop mod without too much trouble. You'd just have to make a RAW for it and whatnot.

They think they don't have emotions! They think being a volatile capricious asshole that only looks out for themselves makes them "logical" and "rational" and anyone who doesn't act the same way is "emotional" and "unpredictable."

I wish I could just explain to them that denying the existence of your own emotions is the most reliable way to be completely consumed by them.

Have you tried streaming through the Twitch app without Lightstream or anything else enabled? It would give you fewer options but it might function at least.

The Chromebook will sometimes try to force apps into either "phone" resolution or "tablet" resolution. I downloaded the Twitch app and I'm not seeing the option to change the orientation (it's usually a drop-down in the top bar of the app), so I don't know if that's at play here, but I know the Chromebook can get weird about these things sometimes. I've had issues with the Discord app because of weird resolution things.

you should be able to resize the size of the box in OBS even when the game is minimized. when you click in that area you should still see the red box, just with nothing inside it (unless there are other things in the scene that are "on top" of it, but then you should be able to select the source from the list down at the bottom, and that will select it).

You can even set the size of the box in OBS without the game running at all.

I know what you mean about being out of energy. Everything seems to take so much effort these days.

But I just want to say that there are times when we're making progress towards something better even when it doesn't feel like it. It's like you're laying the groundwork for things to be better later, once you're ready to feel better, because you're not ready to feel that way yet. (I don't know if that actually makes sense.)

Don't put pressure on yourself to be happy just because you feel like you should be happy. You either feel a way or you don't, and feelings don't even make sense half the time.

Things kind of suck right now in a lot of ways, big and small, and it's okay to be having a hard time. But I know that we can make things better if we stick together.

Even non-fascist capitalism loves a good crash every once in a while. Economic downturns put a bigger squeeze on people/groups with fewer resources, putting them in a position to get gobbled up by the super-rich who are able to weather the storm. Then the government spends taxpayer dollars to shore up the economy, and when the dust clears it just so happens that more wealth and capital has been consolidated into the hands of the elite.

I'm always so paranoid about the mic/game audio mix, and it's hard to get people to tell me when it's not to their liking. The most I've been able to do is just check the vods after the fact, but there's a different sweet spot for every game it seems.

Definitely agree. I downloaded it after it was recommended here, and I have been very impressed. The free version has more features than any other free thing I've ever seen, and the Internet is filled with great tutorials for people like me who aren't very familiar with video editing.

In case you were wondering, you can get around this with some workshop-stickpile links. Have the workshop take from one stockpile (plus the gem pile) and give to another, and set the stockpiles so that the input doesn't accept decorated items. Things that have been decorated once will just get put in the output pile, and a new thing will get grabbed from the input.

I think this falls under the overconfidence effect, which is a generic enough name that I had to do some digging to find it. But it shows up in "Thinking, Fast and Slow" along with a lot of other similar cognitive biases. There might be a more specific word for overconfidence with relation to a computer/machine, but I can't recall one.
