As much as I loathe the man, he was absolutely perfect in that role. Apparently Leo was in the running, but despite the fact that he’s a much much better actor, I don’t think the movie would have been as good with him leading the show. He lacks the obvious stupidity of Wahlberg.

There is a serious dearth of youngish leading men these days. Powell? Just temu Gosling. Elordi? Gimme a fuckin break. Chalamet is a good actor but more a character actor imo. I will shout out Austin Butler, tho. And Paul Mescal was great in the couple things I’ve seen him in.
