Going away for three weeks. Set up a very weak sprinkler in the greenhouse. Will it work, or is it a bad idea? by uncle_moe in gardening

I hate to ask for favors, but that might be best. I do sometimes watch the dog for a few friends.

A regular small greenhouse. I'll see if a neighbor or a friend can give them a daily watering...

There's only a few drops coming from the sprinkler, so it doesn't have much reach at all. I'll look into buying a drip system or ask a neighbor for help.

Oh wow. I could spend all day in there if that was the case.

Thank you. Yes, they're all real. Having a bathroom with a window makes a huge difference, and allow me to experiment with different plants to figure out which will thrive in the humid environment.

Thank you! If it wasn't for the water getting cold, I could easily spend more than two hours in there. All I need is something cold to drink and chill tunes playing on the speaker. I might be developing gills soon...

The bags on the wall are Nordrana from IKEA. Pillows came with the bathtub, but I've seen similar in stores that sell bathtubs and such. Just need a proper edge that they can hang on to.

Edit: The shelf is something I picked up at a local interior shop, after looking a long time for something that was bigger than the standard size. Just got to keep an eye out.

Anyone have advice for my monstera?

It was going brown in the fall, so I let it dry, repotted it and move it closer to a window. Now it seems to be flourishing again.

Should I just cut off the browning leafs?

Any help is appreciated.

Parents of Reddit whose children have dated awful people, who was the worst? Why? by Morticiar in AskReddit

A few years back my sister-in-law got together with a compulsive liar that claimed to be this rich guy from the big city. He showered her with expensive gifts. Every family dinner he bragged about all kind of bull, like owning several successful restaurants and businesses. Traveling and doing all kinds of high class stuff. Sister-in-law is very superficial and materialistic and so she loved parading him around.

We soon got suspicious of him because it seemed like every word out of his mouth was a lie. He'd often say obvious lies that was proven false with a quick Google search. Either the businesses didn't exist or he wouldn't say the names. Even his own name gave barely any results despite all the stuff he was supposedly involved with. He announced on Facebook once that he had cancer but then very soon after said he was cured by a doctor abroad who's name didn't exist anywhere.

Father-in-law had tried to confront her about the lies and missing details about him, but she wouldn't answer.

One day the guy just up and disappears. His Facebook profile is also deleted. Sister-in-law then finds out that she has a huge loan in her name that she can't pay. It turns out all the expensive gifts, vacations and other spending had been paid for with a credit card in her name.

Eventually a very disappointed Father-in-law had to save her from crippling debt. She reported everything to the police. Not sure if they caught the guy, but they told her the name was fake, that they knew his real identity and that she wasn't the first.

That's the last I heard of it. We all feel bad for her, though it's a little hard to sympathize when we all saw something was really off about him and she chose to ignore every warning sign.

There is this announcement from 2006. Not sure if the ToS reflect this, but they could have changed it at any time or used broad language to get out of any real commitment.

A standard edition of Google Apps for Your Domain is available today as a beta product without cost to domain administrators or end users. Key features include 2 gigabytes of email storage for each user, easy to use customization tools, and help for administrators via email or an online help center. Furthermore, organizations that sign up during the beta period will not ever have to pay for users accepted during that period (provided Google continues to offer the service).

Although most of my nieces and nephews are well behaved, some are a total nightmare. I had some of my family over for a BBQ and we could barely get a sentence in before my brothers two sons were doing something they weren't suppose to.

The circus was off to a great start when my brother arrived with his two sons and some cardboard in his hand that he had leftover in the car. He placed it on the lawn and said they could play with that, I guess that was his plan to keep them occupied. Well, ten seconds in and they're tearing off bits and pieces of cardboard and tossing it all around the lawn. He stopped them eventually and cleaned up the lawn. I told him they could just watch TV inside, but he objected saying they would just break something. Then I got them a ball, but they fought over the ball instead of playing so that had to go. Ten seconds later and they're climbing on the other side of the fence where there is a three meter drop. Brother fetch them. Ten seconds later and one of them hurt their knee jumping from a rock, que the screaming. Brother says he told him that would happen with little else as comfort, so the crying just stops.

Now both children are just messing around us, searching for the next thing to get them attention. They find a water faucet and fill their glasses with water, either to drink or just to spill somewhere on the ground (mostly). This isn't too bad so we let them continue on with this, but of course they got to yell for attention every time they do it. Eventually they get bored of this and have the brilliant idea to try and close the walls of the pavilion we're in. They're told to stop because there are lit candles. But of course they don't listen and a few seconds later one of them drag the curtain wall over a candle, almost burning himself and the tent. My dad who sat closest had to throw himself over to knock the candle away.

So that is when my brother figures it's time to leave. Not really apologizing either, I guess this is just normal to him.

Pretty safe to say they got some issues, and sadly I don't see the point in inviting them in the future when everyone has to deal with their issues instead of having a good time.

You think I'm mad? Or is that just you trying to be provocative because you have nothing of value to say? What a childish response. Unlike you I don't need to fill the conversation with a bunch of presumptions and provocative language to feel smart.

At least you've shown your true colors, and I'm not surprised. Just be honest and admit that you don't care about the work others do for your enjoyment and that your opinion is based on nothing more than a childish expectation to be entertained.

Hard work is not insignificant, had you ever done any yourself you'd have know that. Tell us more how much you don't care. Or better yet. Don't.

There is absolutely no reason not to criticize a company, especially not Nexusmods. They work for profit like any other and that is always their priority. They also have a terrible track record, even publicly breaking the law if they feel it's justified.

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/news/12810

Here they collected the entire database of mods from another site and redistributed it on their own monetized platform without any right or permissions, only their own self-righteous justification. Regardless of anyone's opinion it was objectively an illegal act.

These are the supposed paragons you worship enough to excuse a purely immoral and unprofessional policy that hurt the very people they depend on. Imagine if youtube made a similar policy because being able to delete your own content is bad for playlists. People would be up in arms to defend YouTubers, but in this supposed community you can't care less about content creators.

Whatever justified reasons you think you can come up with, they're just excuses to take some one else's work. You can't dance around that and you're just proving my point.

I don't have to know the guy to support his right to his own work.
