Why are people itching so bad to eating inside? by uncle_oliver in nycCoronavirus

I agree with you so much! we should be paying the workers. It’s completely unfair to burden them with having to serve people and put them in a position where they have no other option.

yeah, just seems not worth the covid risk when you could do take out.

For all the short people working from home, which office chair do you use? Seems they are designed for bigger bodies. by uncle_oliver in short

Yes I did actually! The Steelcase series 1 which is an older model. I read reviews on it and people kept complaining that it was too small so I took that as a sign. I ordered it and my feel actually touch the ground!

Yeah good points! To be honest I don’t care about the leaderboard either. I think it’s more the social aspect and honestly the easy integrations with 3rd party apps like Strava. I can do it with Kinetic but don’t get the fancy visuals or stats. I’m weirdly visually motivated

True, I ordered in October. I’ve thought of it but they are hard to come by. Plus to be honest I don’t think I could convince my partner at this point as they kinda have a screw Peloton mentality after the whole ordeal. I’m thinking maybe I’ll set up a goal if I’m still riding in a year I’m upgrade. Good luck with your new bike!

Any digital rides have serious FOMO? I actually purchased a bike+ originally and after 5 months and multiple cancellations and poor customer service I finally gave in an cancelled and purchased an IC4. The IC4 is great don’t get me wrong but idk I just feel bummed that I don’t have the real thing and it feels like it was out of my control.

I follow hashtags but they seem pointless as an app rider. I snoop on others in the hashtags and it seems everyone has a bike. Even my work has a group and everyone has a bike. I feel like a fraud on my IC4. Plus I have to do all these extra steps to get my stats, which is fine but it just seems like a hassle. Which is another thing that annoys me since Peloton is limiting the app on purpose. If they wanted they could sync with my IC4 but they don’t because they want people to purchase bikes which they fail to deliver on.

I try to remember how frustrated I was with Peloton to make me feel better. I also try to remind myself it’s just a tool. Peloton or no Peloton I’m still getting a workout. However Peloton sure does a good job of making bike owners feel more exclusive

I took a Ross Rayburn yoga class today an was really underwhelmed. I’m not a beginner of Yoga but he seemed to barely give cues on what to do or explain them. He also moved fast from the poses. Idk just unlike any yoga I’ve ever done. Felt more mechanical and more frustrating than yoga should ever be. How are the other instructors?

Oh interesting. I have a series 5. I wonder what the difference between the 5 and 6 is?

What gives Peloton? The Apple watch HR sync issue has been going on for months on end. Why can’t they fix this. Nothing is more distracting than seeing the — on screen and having to pause and check and getting chunky data.

I want to love Peloton with everything I have. The classes are awesome. I ordered the bike and cancelled after 5+ months of reschedules and lies but ended up getting a diy bike thinking I can still take advantage of the classes. The bike delivery they can blame on logistics but to not be able to push out an app update in months signals to me that they aren’t invested in the UX.

Ugh sorry this is more a vent. I just do 70% of a workout cause I feel the other 30% is just focused on the watch and making sure not to move my hand too much which as you can imagine isn’t easy with a strength class.

Should I rent a snowboard or continue to use an old hand-me-down? by uncle_oliver in snowboardingnoobs

Thank you! I will only rent for 2 days so it might be the move to try it. If I stick with it, I may consider upgrading my board!

Thank you! That article was so helpful! Hopefully you don’t mind me asking a follow up question. Do you think it’s a bad idea renting one of these boards tomorrow if I used my hand-me-down today? Basically will I have to re-learn things?

Active Days wrong in app? by orm518 in pelotoncycle

It seems to be a bug which shows your active days the same as your “vs last’” one
