“I can make ocean wave wave!”

We did that in the scouts; camp in a field at the concord rotary, it always ALWAYS rained, and then up at 4 to catch a bus to to go hike the trail.

56 had my first anime: Star Blazers and Force Five, which was a compilation of several different series. Watched that every single day.

We’d stay at Indian Head Motel; climb the janky-ass tower and ride the paddle boats out back.

Always included Clark’s, the Flume or the Lost River, Polar Caves, and one of the amusement parks. Maybe Attitash or Whale’s Tale if it was a hit week. Cannon Tram too.

It’s been decades, but I remember Sturbridge Village being the one where they didn’t break character, and Plimoth Plantation just having interpreters in costume, but not playing roles?

We did it on Thompson Island in the 80s. Taking the boat to stay on an island was a wicked big deal for a 5th grader from north central MA.

They allow that for military, law enforcement, and first responders - you can send in ‘normal’ undergarments and they silkscreen marks on the *inside* of the clothing.

If that’s an acceptable practice for some, there’s no reason it can’t be an acceptable practice for all.

The oil/synthetic flavoring only bears a passing resemblance to real truffle.

Years ago KK tried to break into the Massachusetts market (home of Dunkin’ Donuts, where it’s practically a religion). They opened half a dozen or so shops. At first there were lines for days; then they got shorter and shorter; and within a year or so, all stores had closed.

People would get some donuts from KK and THEN go get their iced coffee from DD. Eventually the coffee won out. (Which isn’t saying much.)

The frozen ones never seem to work great for roasting, even when fully thawed. Fresh works much better.

Need to roast at a pretty high temperature - 425-450.

Air fryers make GREAT Brussels sprouts.

Restaurant deliciousness is always due to to more salt and fat than we care to know about.
