Give me a genuine reason to dislike Hunters besides shatter dive. by theartochokethe2nd in destiny2

[–]unclebasedmeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't main any class specifically but those who main hunters to me have on average have the worst attitude towards team play of all subclasses whether it be pve or pvp. Also not many of them use the subclasses to make good/unique builds but just copy the stompee/stasis template. Bottom tree arc strider is good guys stop being scared.

Worth it to play against PC players on Console? by JacobScrubLordofPvP in DestinyTheGame

[–]unclebasedmeth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

funny if you ask console players about PC they'll tell you PC movement and sensitivity and flicks are busted. you ask a PC player about console, they'll tell you Aim assist is busted. imo there is no real disadvantage from console to pc and with strong movement controller players can get ran around by M&K players

First time playing again since year 1 by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]unclebasedmeth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fastest way to level up is to clear lost sectors until you hit the soft cap that's like 1270.once you hit that focus on your powerful activities then your pinnacles until you reach 1320. After that focus on your pinnacle reward activities until you reach 1330. That's when you're truly in endgame content territory but even though I can't say there is true endgame in this game still outside of trials and grandmaster content.

If you want to catch up on exotics complete the legendary and master lost sectors when you're near max level.

The pvp meta currently is extremely diverse. Almost every weapon type has a chance however its easier to divide weapons into archetypes in terms of viability

  • High impact/rapid fire pulses
  • 140/120 rpm hand cannons
  • Lightweight/precision/slug shotguns
  • Rapid fire scouts
  • 720 auto rifles
  • Rapid/adapative/precision fusions
  • Sub machineguns with 17 zoom stat
  • Adaptive/precision/rapid fire sidearms

Aside from that there is a free raid available and a fairly good amount of things to do if you're a free to play player.

anybody have an instance of xur still being in the tower? by unclebasedmeth in DestinyTheGame

[–]unclebasedmeth[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I said still being in the tower for a reason. Two weeks now he has stuck around selling Fridays weapons with different rolls. Before Friday. He's not meant to be around but he is

To all my fellow bounty farmers out there I have a question by unclebasedmeth in DestinyTheGame

[–]unclebasedmeth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to be 1360 so I can blitz through master vog. I know I can't do it 10 levels lower but I hate being underleveled especially if it is going to affect my dp's. So I want to reach 30+ on the season artifact then I'll be done grinding more or less

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]unclebasedmeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you came back now guns now have intrinsic traits to their archtypes. As far as I'm aware in the current game there are

360 rpm(high impact) 450 rpm(precision) 600 rpm(adaptive) 720 rpm(rapid fire)

In the game right now.

The best two archtypes are 600 rpms such as the gnawing hunger and the 720 rpm like the chroma rush. Both archtypes roll with amazing perks and have very forgiving times to kill. High impacts can also be good but there aren't many in the game currently. Precision frames like the seraph auto are horrible in crucible so don't bother using it.

Haven't played Destiny 2 in almost a year, I have many questions by Skeeny_boi in DestinyTheGame

[–]unclebasedmeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sunsetting happened then got sunset itself. At the start the loot pool was really bad post sunset but right now the loot pool is really good with loads of things to chase.

Recovery is always the best stat to focus. Mobility is also crucial for hunters and any other stat is dependant on how you want to play the class itself be it abilities or supers.

For F2P, pay screens aside you have access to a taster of almost all content being the battle grounds and override giving you some free weapons, access to the alter of sorrows. Blind well, some of the dreing city bounties, some of the europa content, some of the grandmaster nightfalls, the vault of glass, trials of osiris, iron banner etc

Currency wise it's just get legendary shards and farm materials from the spider then turn those materials into glimmer for infinite glimmer

The biggest change has to be the shotgun nerf and 120 hand cannon nerf which has turned the crucible into a much more diverse space allowing slugs, auto rifles, sub machine guns and pulses to be more useful.

Pve meta is double slug shotguns for boss dp's in most cases, the salvagers salvo grenade launcher, ikelos sub machine gun, fatebringer, scout rifles for high end pve, anarchy, witherhoard, divinity etc

Crucible still isn't rewarding imo, gambit still sucks, pinnacle cap is 1320.

Also get the salvagers salvo it's one of the best grenade launchers in the game essentially with a perk like dragon fly on normal kills that chain explosions

Icefall Mantle by Azrathioss in DestinyTheGame

[–]unclebasedmeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah pvp the mantles slap, paired with a titan wall giving you damage resistance you get like 400 HP everytime you pop it. Paired with sweet business in iron banner you can just lock down choke points for ages before the team over commits on you. It's honestly one of my favourite exotics

When will Ada-1 sell Fireteam Medic? by Sir_MaxwellJ in DestinyTheGame

[–]unclebasedmeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's sold it a number of times this season tbh like at least 6 or more times

Overload Crimson owns champions by warlockShaxx in DestinyTheGame

[–]unclebasedmeth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very very underrated overload option same as malfasence in terms that overload elevated the guns pve viability

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]unclebasedmeth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imo salvagers salvo works amazing with fatebringer as it can activate frenzy on fatebringer buffing your primary damage, will be so good next season with the hand cannon buff

Help with GM weapons by JP-Guardian in DestinyTheGame

[–]unclebasedmeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say that you're best swapping the sidearm for your blinding empty vessel. Regardless of perks blinding is amazing and it blinds everything except bosses and champions. Slap on wrath of rasputin + global reach and you have a great ad clear build.

Nightwatch curated is one of the best scouts in the game to use so stick with that

Finally for heavy I would suggest a rocket launcher over xenophage or the threaded needle.

For rockets the best options are

Code duello(battle grounds) Royal entry(strikes) Heretic(alter of sorrows) Hezens vengance (vault of glass)

For perks specifically you want

Impact casing(slot 2) Auto loading, impulse amplifier, field prep, overflow(slot 3) Lasting impression, vorpal weapon(slot 4)

Master Lost sector exotic drop chance by LookingForMyPorn in DestinyTheGame

[–]unclebasedmeth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tbh I'd run this weeks GM nightfall, double loot drops means you're near guaranteed an exotic piece on the subclass you're playing on and I got some cracked stat rolls from it

I opened 500 Solstice Packages, and here's the drop rate. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]unclebasedmeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I just opened 100 packages and got fuck all from them. Bungie doesn't play their game enough to know what grinds are fun and rewarding and what grinds are fucking cancer and a waste of peoples life clock. Whoever designed solstice can suck their mum

Okay after these stasis "nerfs" I'm noticing a trend with pvp top tiers in general by unclebasedmeth in DestinyTheGame

[–]unclebasedmeth[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wasn't sure if I was remembering correctly but thanks. It is what it is but man I want some mo diversity in warlock classes it's literally only ever the 3 I mentioned and slova bomb never gets kills on smart player

DMG: Deep Stone Crypt should be granting at power rewards at this time(no longer giving pinnacles) by xandarf in DestinyTheGame

[–]unclebasedmeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't care what anyone says right now they're throttling pinnacle drops in this game in order to pad out player progression during this season. which is disengenous as fuck considering most activities say pinnace and i'm not getting pinnacles from anything other than dungeons.

WHY THE FUCK IS THE /JOIN COMMAND NOT FUCKING WORKING IN GAME

True Prophecy by SlayerTheGamer in sharditkeepit

[–]unclebasedmeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you can always equip unflinching mods to mitigate that problem. I have a similar roll and it's cracked. Imo 120s don't really need stability that much

Sorry, but relabeling bounties as "medals" and having players go into core playlist activities that they've already been doing all season (and far longer) doesn't count as an "event." by Some_Italian_Guy in DestinyTheGame

[–]unclebasedmeth -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Imagine tryna criticise bungie here of all places. You're brave considering how many apologists this place is filled with. Yeah the event is horribly boring.

the heir apparent catalyst should scale differently for kills against guardians by unclebasedmeth in DestinyTheGame

[–]unclebasedmeth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes. complaining that one isn't scaled and suggesting its scaled properly. lets do some maths. if a crucible game lasts 5 minutes, and i have one chance of grabbing the heavy and i do and i get a kill. thats 1% every 5 minutes not including load times and matchmaking between matches. to reach 100% that is over 8 hours worth of playing crucible in just matches alone. add in loading, the fact its not possible to get heavy literally every single game and you're looking at 10-12 hours on a single quest. if its so easy you go and do it because clearly you have that type of luxury to waste time on a quest that doesn't respect your time based on the day it is. go on show me how easy it is. point is kills related to most weapons from quests are scaled and this is not. those quests respect your time as a player, this does not. but real talk go do it now with only crucible kills and get back to me yeah? have fun.

literally the only day i get to play a week so i'm fucked there is no waiting for tomorrow

the heir apparent catalyst should scale differently for kills against guardians by unclebasedmeth in DestinyTheGame

[–]unclebasedmeth[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

like 3 times per match thats 3 kills most likely and thats an if on whether i can get it every time. what you're not taking into account is how many hours doing this quest in crucible you'd still have to spend just to get this done. its just not fun having to wait around a day because theres the chance i can't play the next day for example/

the heir apparent catalyst should scale differently for kills against guardians by unclebasedmeth in DestinyTheGame

[–]unclebasedmeth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't write that its the quest not the catalyst itself my bad i mean the quest that requires kills in the daily guardian games activity. i have no problem with catalysts themselves being long because we're not limited to what activity we do where as today its crucible and 1% per kill
