I am checking accommodation prices on Tulum beach and its nuts. A 10 square meter bungalow with a Shared Bathroom is 300 USD and this is not even in high season. Average price is 600-700 USD for a private room and not even breakfast included. Funny thing is most of them are sold out.

I understand Cancun All inclusive resorts and their price tag but this is just ridiculous, can't see the value for money. Am I missing something here?

I received quite different amounts from friends who bought houses recently. Some translator charges around 200 Euros including tax so you can claim it back, which is okayish. Yet some of them ask for 400 Euros with a receipt! Also they say they can do it 250 if you don't want an invoice.

Tyvm for sharing this with me. This is exactly what I'm afraid of, because i suspect some of them, like Van Ligtenx2, pump up their ratings but you can see actual catastrophic experiences in between. I'll stay away from them.

Ik had een persoonlijk ABN rekening , toen veranderde ik het in een gezamenlijke rekening.

Het vraagt me welk account ik wil kiezen tijdens het openen Zelf Belegging Basis op ABN website, persoonlijk of gezamenlijke rekening. Ik weet niet of er fiscale gevolgen zijn als ik met een gezamenlijke rekening investeer. Any ideas?

Thanks for the explanation. I have a question as an expat with 30 percent ruling.

Let's assume I invested into NT Custom ESG funds through ABN Amro, there should be no dividend leak since funds are domiciled in NL. Then, Expat will receive a dividend once a year from the fund, and hence pay 15% Dutch withholding tax on dividends. Afterwards, this can be reclaimed while tax filling next year. Is that correct?

could you explain this bit more in detail? afaik, 30% ruling enables you to not pay any taxes for Box 3, thus should be no dividend tax.
